Recently, after getting through my several new Christmas games, including DJ Hero which i love to bits but cant quite find the strength in my forearms to compete with another grandmaster flash mix on expert....

but as i decided to play a little MW2 i found to my disarray, The fun has gone, what was once the all round game where games could go anywhere depending on who got the first chappoer in COD4 i found MW2 has lost the edge, cant put my finger on why so i was hoping someone else who noticed this could tell me

MW2 HAD CHARM!?

I don't think it's such a mystery that games become less fun over time. In fact, the odds that it continues being fun is usually against it. Everyone tires of games eventually.

I finished the campaign, did a couple of the Spec Ops, and then lent it to my Dad.

I'm not even going to touch the online.

I kinda agree, I loved COD4 and I think about playing MW2 now and I just can't be bothered and I can't figure out why. Maybe I'm just too lazy to play it =D

The game filled me with more rage than joy so for me it never had any charm, now if you'll excuse me I shall go play one of the many better games I have

I enjoy the multiplayer, but only with a select few.
The Spec Ops is a blast with my wife or my brother-in-law.
I've barely touched the Single Player.

It's fun, but not the greatest.
I have way more fun with Forza 3 or Assassin's Creed 2.

I'm still loving the online, despite the horrific, annoying mess they have put in place of dedi servers.

It's just too addictive and too satisfying for me to stop playing any time soon.

I find the stupidity of Kill streaks like a Mother-loving AC130?!?,I Cod4 was great due to its balance, now its a Bit like a Tory Game (bit of an British joke there) by making Good Better and Bad Worse

I just finished it today, going to go back and replay it now.

I always like it when I can get longevity out of games without having to resort to online multiplayer...

But your getting that out of game that is so focused on its multiplayer the story seems to just be there cos it had to be

Yeah, I'm in the camp of it never having charm in the first place.... to avoid the temptation to troll I will just say that hype does a pretty effective job of dissolving charm.

I find your British joke to be amusing.

I still find MW2 amusing. Multiplayer is still a hell of a lot of fun.

i traded my copy in just yesterday for Gears of War 2 (I have yet to play it), Ghostbusters, and Gun.

I had accomplished everything i wanted to in MewTwo, so i got rid of it. Much to the shagrin of some of my XBL buddies.

EDIT: I also got a Collectors Edition of Mass Effect.

Shame IW only care about the console players now and screwed over the PC CoD players with the removal of dedicated servers and replacing it with the inferior IWnet which is a total disaster.
This has made me reluctant to play it anymore. I don't think I shall purchase another CoD game in the future either.

Gotta love the Creed.

The

Jumping scene with all of the assassins was awkwardly hilarious though. Seriously, is there a school that teaches you how to jump that way?

MW2 annoys me because of this list of things:

1) Dying is not fun. My skill has effected the game for me as I die more than I kill.
2) Kids on the mic who trash talk. It's even worse when they swear randomly.
3) Noise coming from a player, whether it be breathing, or them purposely irritating the chat.

The only place I can ever find refuge is in Search and Destroy, my favourite game type as it is sometimes pretty scary. Being the last man and taking out an entire team is really satisfying. It's kinda like the marmite game type.
