I'm really looking forward to this, can't wait to see how it all plays out for Price and the boys :)
You and me both. I don't care about any CoD hatred, any ending that can have me as numbstruck by awesome as Modern Warfare 2 deserves to have me buy the sequel

The suckiest game series ever returns.

Boycott? Yea Boycott.
Remember the Boycott fail for MW2?

Yeah, I wouldn't want to repeat that...
What do you mean 'fail'. The PC boycott of MW2 was a great success.

53,400 PC sales tells you a lot, and in revenge for the treatment and lies PC gamers were given the 4 MILLION pirated copies is justified revenge.

Bowling being IW's chief BS artist puts up some waffle regarding PC sales, but then you don't expect that [stealth] clown to say anything else as his job depends on it.

The Biggest game in the world returns.. 3... Black Background. Ah, Dungeonkeepers makin a comeback aint it?
Dungeon keeper that would be so awesome, I couldn't gives a rat's ass about modern warfare 3.
But isn't the new Dungeon Keeper like a MMO made by some Asian company now?
If for some really f'd up reason it was Dungeon Keeper, I wouldn't be able to hold back the tears of joy. Screw that MMO exclusive to Asia.

Anyway, I have learnt my lesson. I am not buying this game.... I say that now, but that little voice reminded me about the first modern warfare makes me slightly interested actually.

Hmm... Crazy idea, but just go with me here.

The new CoD is announced at E3 for November 2012 so they can put as much polish into it as possible, as they will be retiring the name afterword. Not only that, but the setting is in the near-ish future instead of the modern day.
That would require some maturity on the part of activision and what are the odds of that
and really they could package a port of tetris as modern warfare three and people would still buy it.
and then everyone who bought it would complain that there was no quickscoping

Yup. MW2's campaign was great fun, and I can't wait for this one.
Same here. There's really nothing wrong with the story of these games. It's FUN. Remember that, guys? Fun?

I mean, I'm not advocating dual-wielding shotguns, but the single player in these games is consistently great. I look forward to this.

As long as multiplayer remains the hugely popular part of the game they should just put out new DLC every couple of months. They can make lots of money and keep providing new content. Also those of us that are fine without the new maps won't spend any dosh.

A prequel, and people still don't see the giant dry, lubeless cock sneaking up behind their clueless bent over asses.

Wow, a new Moder Warfare game is going to be released. Next you'll be telling me the tide is going to come in. Well let's watch as Activision milks its newest cash cow until the milk turns red, and then some.

People need to stop buying this crap. CoD multiplayer isn't varied enough, way too much focus on close combat, no strategy at all, just fucking run or camp.

I foresee it being a cod game and not being as impressive looking as battlefield 3

I mean do reveals really matter for cod games? everyone knows when they come out, they come out the same time every year and so far they have all looked pretty similar and had almost the same gameplay
Strategically the gameplay has diminished. Sure, the weapons and perk systems have improved, but the maps in the original modern warfare were designed to storm and hold positions and used organized group tactics. Granted not everyone tried, but you could if you had enough people paying attention. MW2 and BlOps are basically random arcade shooters where you spawn in a certain location, shoot some people that you spawned behind, and then get shot by someone who just spawned behind you. Not my idea of fun. Sure, you can still use strategy, but it doesn't naturally emerge out of fighting like it did in the first Modern Warfare with its natural high grounds, chokes and spawn-points: everyone has to be on the same page from the beginning.

Halo Reach had the option to select one's spawn point, whether it be at certain locations or behind a teammate. There's NO reason for the next CoD game not to do this without admitting that the gameplay is purposefully random and they don't want to put the thought into it necessary to make the maps and spawns balanced. I think I'll switch over to Battlefield.

I thought Respawn Entertainment owned the Modern Warfare brand and Activision owned the CoD brand did I miss a court ruling or something?

Wait.. didn't MW2 end on a cliffhanger or something? Why would the next game be a prequel?
Or are they taking the Crysis 2 version of just forgetting what happened in the last game?

Either way, it's another CoD game. Maybe I'll get it's on sale...like 50% or something
