"there will be a "touch" mechanic in Fable 3 that will allow players to punish or play with children."

Between that and Milo, I think it's clear the type of person Peter Molyneux is...

But seriously, why does anyone listen to this guy anymore?

Peter Molyneux revealing confidential information in a pretentious manner?

I'm just going to pop outside and check that the sky isn't falling.

So true oh so true.

Anyone else feel they got a bad deal with Fable 2? I mean I havn't felt that let down and over hyped over a game since....since...well Oblivion.

Instead of orbs, a character's followers will decide his level of stature in the game.
Now, I not only have to keep the fleshy sacks of poorly written code around, but I have to keep them happy with me? Just to level up? Molyneux, the current system has been working since (at least) 1974. There is no reason to change such an integral part of RPGs. To quote the song, "I walk alone." If I need a meat-sack to protect me from incoming enemies, I'll summon one, or use the Stone Guy who only talks about how much he hates pidgeons and who~s opinion I don't care much about. The only reason I even had a party of 3 in DA:O was because my mage couldn't pick locks and the french woman seemed less offensive.

In Fable 3, you can "touch" children.
I laughed hard.
So did Pedobear.

....

None of these features make me feel in any way upset. They sound....cool? Why did he think not having a HUD or level system would piss gamers off? It's not like his fans are hardcore RPG fanatics.

seems like a bad move to me. I hated fable 2 because alot of the good stuff from fable one was removed and fable 3 looks like its just going down a bad path.

Fable has always been one of the most shallow and flat rpgs around. Molyneux talks complete bull. Fable 1 was flawed but at least it was fun. Fable 2 however was probably one of the most dull rpgs I ever played, Monlyneux hyped it up to be some deep new rpg/sim, in the end the combat was a joke considering holding B would see you through to the end of the game. The story was awful and the so called moral choices consisted of eating some chicken or tofu.
The only thing I actually enjoyed was buying property and even that was a basic gameplay mechanic seeing as it seemed they spent less than 5 minutes on this whole economy aspect plus the fact it wasn't that difficult to own all of the world.
I want Fable 3 to be good but after watching the ign interview I can't see it happening.

Uhm actually there's a video diary that shows the gameplay. The dog is still in, looks like the same damn dog from Fable II. They somewhat go into the 'customized' weapons thing and show a few changes. They added wings or wing like things.

They have it on GT, I'm sure they also have it on the Lionhead blog.

That said 'm one of the few people that more liked Fable II than disliked. Sure there were a few issues. Namely the game crapping itself in the end; The lame ending choices, why can't I bring the people back who died building the tower and my family/dog (The latter without which you could find any buried treasure so it breaks the game.)The shitty "economy system and the stupid work mini games that actually felt like... well... work (Also the game says you can trade stuff between towns and stuff but in reality the stores only have very limited supplies all the time, why is it that the shop keepers only have one piece of celery every few days?) There was also the decision where you had to sacrifice a girl or turn old, why not a third option where you throw the damn disc away? The combat was fine for the most part, the co-op was shitty, the npc's were stupid to the point of sillyness, but with all that said I still had loads of fun with it. One more thing, the fact that putting any points into strength makes your character look fat, this made the woman character who had the better choice of clothing look awful!

Also, is no one else surprised that according to the quote he cursed?

Shortened from a pointlessly long rant repeating problems everyone knows about:

It may be vain but I don't want scars for dying, I don't want to be ugly for using magic, I don't want to be disfigured for being 'evil', don't want to be angelic looking for being 'good', and sure as hell don't want to get old for leveling. Designing a character is my favorite part of RPGs, when you set half of it on an autopilot course into the nearest ugly tree on the farthest moon... I have issues.

My first instinct was to call troll, but then again this is Molly so it would make sense for 80% of this to not make publication.

Why in the name of the Gods would I want to define my level by how many useless meat puppets follow me around?

WAIT, ONLY ONE BUTTON?

"Jimmy, use your sword"
"How?"
"Use A"
"How do I move?"
"Use A"
"How do I pause?"
"Use A"

How is making the HUD non-existing useful I prefer knowing if I should use my potion from seeing a bar losing red. Not getting an odd screen effect.
