I actually find it difficult to be a dick in RPGs.
Mmmm, it's the opposite for me...I almost always try my hardest not to be a dick, but it just kinda happens. Maybe I'm too used to games where you can go into someone's house and rob them blind, because in Fallout 3 and Fable 2, that's where most of my bad karma comes from. Then I just end up saying "fuck it" and start shooting random people.

Haha I do know what getting frustrated and shooting random civilians is like though.

It's so much easier! And you still get experience. I remember wanting to get every spell at it's upmost tier in Fable2, but I couln't find any bandits or whatever, so I stood in the center of the first town, turned the "don't kill good people" filter off, and started lightninging everyone I could see.

It is just because America is the best place in the world, Non-Americans are not evil; just not as good as Americans.

Yeah every once in a while in STALKER I just take out my shotgun and shoot up a friendly camp.

Heh heh heh...come to think of it, this is probably why nobody likes to team with me in mmo's, they can probably tell I'll go all cabin fever in the middle of a mission and just start killing the team.

I am personally very tired of hearing people make the next Miyamoto out of Molyneux. He's just not that clever.

These statistics are made up. He hasn't sourced any research. It's almost certainly one of those blazé percentages people come up with to say to someone they don't like.

I'd be happy to see The Escapist stop reporting every half-controversial or interesting thing the guy says.

Mentioning his view in an article about the actual thing he's talking about, with other views included? That's fine.

Using a small soundbyte as fodder for an actual article? Looks pretty sparse to me.

Where's the substance, or argument? I felt like I went to bite a cookie, then found that there was a single choc chip in its place. All gone before I enjoyed it.

Oh well. There's plenty of colourful articles remaining from you, Mr Funk. That's only my writer's opinion. Call it the result of too much essay-writing today.

I believe the article 100%. Many Americans like to pretend that they're all bad-ass and "hate everyone" because it thinks it gives them some kind of "cool cred" but when it comes down to it in reality, a nicer bunch of people you'd struggle to meet.

I always try to be as evil as possible but theres alawyas that one thing thats good which has a way better reward than its evil counterpart choice and it happens to be like the most good possible decition in the game so I wind up neutral instead of evil. Except of course in the Fable games where evil is much more protifable than good ever thought about being... plus you get horns and a pretty red glow around your feet and eyes... not tomention they your hair still makes your 105 year old fable character look like he is still 20 where being good makes your 30 year old fable character look like hes 105. Oh and dont forget about killing people to buy their houses/shops and then tresspassing on them for 3 days while you wait to collect their rent over and over. Also the mask of Jack... nuff said.

And heres a game that will piss you off... Overlord, how the fuck do you get 100% corruption anyways huh? I tried as hard as I possibly could doing the entire story on evil choices and I also went through supressed spree, abducted the women, killed the residents of spree over and over again about 75 times. I even beat my jester and servants until my fingers got tired of beating them. Once it was all said and done after a large ammount more gameplay than I wanted I was still at 70 fucking % corruption, sure I had the cool abilities but I fealt defeated by it because I was incapable of going to 100% within a couple days.

And evil is more fun in Bethesda anyhow fuck Molyneux.

This cant be true... has he been engaged in conversation with a Republican American on CoD4? They say some pretty evil things, I mean come on! Who whispers "I am gonna rape you, oh I'm gonna rape you!" down the mic? Thats just disturbing.
republican? american? shit why bother. just say have you heard what anyone says on call of duty. i find it hard to believe that you make a point of asking your raper if he is american or a republican.
He had a deep south American accent and held racist views regarding their President... Republican American. And I didnt say he said those things to me, it was in game discussion. He was talking to all of the guys who kept hunting him down because of his ignorant statements.
thats beside the point that anon allows people to say whatever they want. like i said most people will act like assholes online at least once just because they can. this case in particular just sounds like he is conforming to a stereotype just for shits and giggs, much like the 10 year old who acts gangstaaa.
That doesnt make anything he did better, he was still the bad guy in this scenario... he deserved to get absolutely owned by everyone and he was on MY team! Also those kids are annoying too.

It was more profitable and easier to be good in Fable 2. Being good was the easy road, evil took effort.
But in return the good characters got raped by the story.

That depends if you cared deeply about the wildly 2d NPC's that you interacted with.
