Mass Effect when Shepard tells his men to go down and make sure Saren is actually dead. I've seen villains come back to life to many times after being "killed". So when Shepard said that he became one of my favorite heroes ever. Granted Saren turned out to be alive but you can't blame Shepard he was thorough enough.

Destroying Sovereign over the Citadel in Mass Effect.
Ninja'd. When you're running along the outside of the Citadel, I was flipping out at how epic it was. Action-packed, climactic, ridonkulously epic, it had everything. That made the dinky little fight with the cyborg Saren that much more of a funsuck... I hated that second battle. What is it with final bosses and always wanting to have different stages and forms? Can't they just be straight-forward?
at least you could talk him into shooting himself to avoid the first battle. Not a lot of games let you do that.
That's a good point. Still, the final battle just took me out of the moment. I was so pumped for a totally epic destruction filled romp through Sovereign to destroy it, but all I got was a dumb battle with one of those little Geth things that crawls on walls, except ten times as annoying, and with a mile-long health bar to boot. Hopefully, Bioware can tell when they're doing something wrong and fix all that for Mass Effect 2, which as of now, looks fucking amazing.

As a kid, playing Star Fox 64, and finally shooting all of the switches on the Landmaster stage with the train from hell... I was the first kid in the neighborhood to do that, and I felt like God for a week.

Or finally getting all of the stars in Super Mario 64... I hate the clocktower. Haaaaate...
Oh. My. GOODNESS.

The most bullshit moment in that entire game. Not having to fight Andross' brain after you kill his face. Not having to save Slippy 6 time per level.

THOSE GODDAMN SWITCHES.
Would it be bad if I said I never had any problem with them at all?

Free Bird, Expert mode, Guitar Hero II. I swear, that was the best ending to any music game ever. Nothing else has come close to it.

Beating the final boss in Jak II. He wasn't particularly hard, but just about everything leading up to him was.

Beating Dullahan on Hard without summon rushing on Golden Sun Lost Age, a feat I had tried to complete for six years, I victory danced for an hour after that. Took just as long to beat him too. 16383 HP is nothing to laugh at, but lucky for me that is the HP cap instead of what could have been 24000 HP in theory (hard boosts all enemy hp by 150% and stats by 125%)

When they finally released Fatalis on the original Monster Hunter for PS2 after the inordinate amount of time they made us wait for it.

Beating General RAAM on Insane in Gears 1. Kept on just dying when
he was really low on health. Took me about 3 hours.

Pretty much every time I beat a game on the highest difficulty level. It is one of the small joys of life, to win at video games.

I spent literally like 4 hours on that part in hardened
I did it on veteran a week ago, it was my last level to do. I just hid in the small rooms throwing grenades back at people.
