Chrono Trigger. Hearing 600 A.D. gives me that 'YES' feeling.

Finally killing Jon Irenicus in Baldurs Gate 2. The whole fight was pretty epic for an RPG and it took me ages to do on High difficulty. All those demons and their charm abilities...

The cutscene afterwards was very funny and fulfilling, watching imps or kobolds, i can't work out which, pushing him into a flaming ocean was very funny especially when they jump in after him

You know the kind of moment I mean. When all the blood, sweat and tears comes to fruition. It could be a puzzle, boss or even just a whole game in general (Ikaruga springs to mind here) so long as it is satisfying to you.

Personally, mine is completing Lylat Wars (Starfox 64) with all medals along the hardest route.

What moments in gaming etched their difficulty into your minds?

That was my moment as well. I fuckin' love that game to death ^^

Since it's on rails I'm not sure it counts, BUT... in Phoenix Wright: Justice For All when you're defending Enguarde. It all seems to have gone wrong, and inside I was shaking.

But then, help bursts through the court-room door in the most unlikely form - the prosecuter from the past two cases! It doesn't seem like much, but when you're playing it it gives a warm, fuzzy feeling. Even though she has a whip.

When I FINALLY beat Boss Battle mode on Extreme and got the final trophy I needed to complete my collection in Brawl.
A bit disappinted though. I had major problems with a few of the bosses (Duon, Rayquza, Porky when he was lucky), but Tabuu was so easy after all my efforts. I took him down on my first try (his RROD couldn't save him, for I was on a Wii and not a 360 ).
