Wha...What? Why would they need me to press the button? They're obviously fucking with me. I figure I'm screwed no matter what I do so I'm gonna spit in their face in any way I can on my way out.
The simplest answer: A family of four is nowhere near worth destruction of a city and some more around it, and even if you hit an empty place, problems will arise, radiation doesn't just dissipate, plus the country's place you hit will get pissed and they might start a war... You all have questionable ethics...

Would it matter what city I picked? It's not like they can actually 'DROP' a nuke on anything save their own feet. They don't have the resources to fly over a city and drop a nuke on it. But, if I had to choose, I'd go with Chicago just for the hell of it.
I would take the bullet but, the terrorists would likely just drop the nuke anyway. I don't see why they would mess around like that. Also, they would likely edit the tape to make it look like I nuked [insert city name here]
They'll just kill me and family anyways, then drop the nuke. I'd pick a spot in the middle of nowhere to drop their bomb, then take a bullet in the head with a smile on my face, knowing that I delt them one hell of a blow by wasting one nuclear bomb of theirs in a lifeless wastland. Yes there is nuclear fallout, but they didn't destroy a city and release just as much fallout. So it's the lesser of two evils, nuclear weapons have some serious after effects.
San Fransisco or DC, why? I don't like either place and one is full of people who piss me off more than anyone else.
Easy, I'd drop the nuke. Hell, if I was in a bad enough mood, I'd ask if they had any more nukes: there are too many people on this planet. But I'd go for a big city in Texas or the south, or maybe some poor African country where people are in constant pain anyway.
