Dragon Age: Origins.

I can seriously get sucked into that game for hours and not even notice. Except for when I'm in the Deep Roads... I'm not fond of the Deep Roads.

Both Mass Effect games are also up there as well.

Funny thing is I think I spend more time in those games talking to people than I do fighting.
right. deep roads pretty much turned me off the game. I used to play it almost non-stop and then in deep roads, I lost interest.
I'm doing a play-through right now where I decided to do Deep Roads earlier to get Oghren. The only other treaty quest I've done so far was the Dalish/Werewolves. I'm not really looking forward to the Broodmother fight. -.-

My cookie cutter response:

Gran Turismo 2 / 4. And Railroad Tycoon / Civilisation / Sim City.

The whole sort of "holy crap the sun's coming up" experiences I had with them are why I've self-banned myself from Minecraft and the NDS. I *know* I'm missing out on a whole lot of fun and cultural experience this way, but ... I have a job to get to in the morning, and I'm not 15 any more, I can't keep it up with that little sleep.

I'd say Pokemon and Oblivion but I can't decide which one of those two is more addictive.

Fallout: New Vegas; finally managed to kick the addiction today, having finally done pretty much everything in the game I physically can.
In the past I've been really addicted to quite a few games, like KOTOR 2, which I played over and over again for about a month (later did the same with KOTOR) and CoD4; when I first got it, I didn't have XBL, so I played through the campaign a rather ridiculous number of times.

Tetris for the gameboy, need I say more?
Tetris - any decent version of Tetris - is still eminently playable today. My other half plays it on his mobile phone.

Classic puzzle games don't pall. I still love Tetris, and also Dr. Mario and Yoshi's Cookie.

Civ V. It's the only game I tend to play these days. I love it soo much, I play it 4 hours a week!
Four hours...a week? How cute. You sure you don't mean more like 14 hours a day? Ever since the first Civ game came out, the whole series/franchise has been the textbook example of "How to Ruin Your GPA/Career/Relationship in Just One More Turn".

My god. Freaking Freelancer. I love the everloving hell out of that game. Must have sunk something like 200 + hours into it over the hears. Keep coming back to it. Tried X3, but don't like the Idea that I pretty much need a degree in the game to play it lol. :p

Personally, Final Fantasy IX and the Spyro trilogy. Obviously, nostalgia plays a factor.

I've played out each of the original Spyro titles about 25 times.
And I play out FF IX about once a year.
Ditto on FFIX, I get a warn fuzzy familiar feeling when playing it.

Super Meat Boy is one of those "Just one more try" kind of games that can keep you up all night on a single level.

I completed Bastion twice in 2 sittings >.>

Final Fantasy Dissidia. Story wasn't much, but got really caught up in the gameplay, and the endless questa and game modes made me neglect my responsibilites on more than one occasion.
This , never have i been so into a fighting game . Also oblivion what TOO much fun , it was a great game without mods , and anyone that says otherwise cannot be friends with me , i believe a game is meant to be played the way the developpers intended, with all it's pros and cons.

Top 3:

1. Fallout 3 (THE best game ever)
2. Fable II (Great story)
3. New Vegas (Okay as an advance on my F3 character)

Really? I love the Deep Roads. Every time I play through I NEED to explore every nook and cranny for loots. I also spent a lot of time pickpocketing people in Denerim.

Right now? Fallout: New Vegas. I'm pretty sure I've played it more than I've played Fallout 3, but I'm not sure if I've surpassed the time I spent on Oblivion.
I will have to agree with this. I've probably played the game over 200 hours in total by now, and I've only got the Dead Money DLC (I do plan on getting the other two)

Minecraft and MGS4, I'm trying to go through the game without being seen or killing anyone... And I'm out of tranquilizers.

Easily Disgaea and Morrowind, for me.

Morrowind was on the PC so it's longevity was helped somewhat with mods. Disgaea really surprised me though with how many hours I sank into it. No other console game has even come close to it for me.

Mount and Blade
Mostly the mod Prophecy of Pendor I just can't keep myself from coming back to it.
I haven't played Prophecy of Pendor, but Mount and Blade is one of the most addicting games I've ever come across.

For all those who haven't played it, you already underestimate it. When you lose, you lose everything and you still want to play, you want to get it all back. When you win you want more, it's just never enough. It may be worth noting that you rarely ever win, you just do better than before.

It's the perfect combination of repeating tasks and RPG as well as being entirely enjoyable at the same time. And this is the vanilla I'm talking about.
