You can do that in Hearts of Iron 2 as well. Though you have to wait for Indian independence.

All this makes me want to go back to my ongoing game of it. I was in the middle of invading Russia, having soundly spanked the Jerries by the start of 1941.

If my hunch is correct, you might play as the Big Bad in Modern Warfare 2. You notice in the Russian Airport clips there are no good guys?
And that makes it amoral?

I'd say the most amoral game so far has got to be Saint's Row 2. You can do pretty much whatever you want and the game will keep track and (may as well) give you a score out of ten.

The Game that you felt you were going to get some seriously bad karma for playing.
Hearts of Iron II gets my vote. Though it has graphics that would have seemed out dated ten years ago, let us just consider for a second that this is a game that:-
Let's you take control of Nazi Germany
Let's you fight WWII as Nazi Germany
Let's you win WWII as Nazi Germany
and let's you take immense pleasure in doing so.
I can never forget the reaction of my quarter Jewish friend when I mentioned this game to him.
The most amoral game?
Tetris.
There's just you, blocks, and lines that you have to make.

Other than that, I think you meant IMmoral instead.

Quarter Jewish? Only one quarter of his respective family is of Jewish origin?

I actually like games where you can actually play as the losers. It means you know you're going to lose, but not what happens to you and how you survive it. So I have no qualms playing as the Nazis (I am half Jewish if you count it ethnically, so that makes me 25% more Jewish than your friend).

Remember, the Wehrmacht didn't commit the atrocities the SS did (of course some members did but not all) - most of them were just fighting for their nation, like all armies do.

Oh yes, OT: Uusally an RPG would be the most Amoral, as you are usually allowed a degree of freedom on what you do (e.g. randomly kill some people for the lulz).

I have tried to DM some pretty Amoral D&D sessions. I once got the PC's to commit genocide on a race of exploited amphibian people. The plot centered around a new drug showing up in a major city. The PC's were tasked by the constable to find the source of these drugs and destroy it. The drugs were coming from a race of frog people whose bodies naturally produced the drug. At first I had trouble convincing the PC's to wipe them out, but then I made all the frog people talk like Jar Jar Binks. The slaughter was tremendous.

I'm gonna have to go with the Japanese version of Drakengard.

This is taken right out of wiki.

The Japanese version of the game featured several very adult oriented themes, and many characters had more than questionable sexual orientations and/or perversion. Leonard, in the Japanese version, is actually a paedophile, and Furiae feels sexual desire for her brother. Arioch, who has lost her womb from her pact and gone mad, enjoys killing children. While all of this isn't reflected in the actual game play, it is inside cut scenes and conversations between characters. Most of these were removed in the American version of the game, making certain cut scenes very difficult to understand. For example, when partly possessed by "The Watchers", Furiae chooses to kill herself, rather than reveal her feelings for her brother, but the censorship makes the reasons for her actions very unclear.

This is what I came in to say.

Don't forget that you can piss in peoples mouths to make them vomit, and that your silencer for your shotgun is to stick it up a cat's ass.

How about Postal? Or Manhunt? Normal, sane people don't play games which can be exactly qualified as "murder simulators",because this is what they are. I don't really see entertainment value in pissing on random pedestrians,or in garotte wire decapitation and baseball bat cranial explosion. Well,i guess i'm just less of a deranged sadistic psychopath than most people.
Postal was just fun as hell. GTA is ont he bad karma list aslong with any other games that allow free will with innocents in the area.

Anyone remember Super Columbine RPG? Although, it was sort of supposed to be controversial, but still! That's some messed up shit.
I read about a crappy shareware game predating the columbine incident called Schoolyard Slaughter. The quote PC Gamer mentioned was "Use the gun to kill the kids as they cross the street! Only head shots count!"

Prototype. Seriously, just Prototype. No matter how you play the game- and it's not like you get a lot, or even any, moral choices in the game- you'll still be an psychopathic, inhuman, mass-murdering monster that's one step up from Satan only because-

You save New York City in the end. And you could easily say Alex Mercer only did it to preserve his own existence.

Am I the only one that doesn't think that any game is inherently immoral? Objects, even interactive ones, have very little moral bearing.

Sure you can make immoral choices, but doesn't that boil down to the player rather than the game itself? Or am I just arguing schematics?

Could be, if you end up killing hundreds of innocent civvies.
