Hey all, just want to know what the longest, most time consuming, or cheap ass, or just plain f***ing boring... (you catch my drift) boss fight you've ever done.

And, and and and,
ANY MMO BOSSES DO NOT COUNT. WE ALL KNOW PEOPLE LITERALLY DIED AGAINST ONE.

damn you squeenix...

Seymore Flux, Sinspawn Gui, Evrae and one more I can't quite remember from Final Fantasy X.

Although there's one boss that almost made me snap my controller.
...Bed of Chaos from Dark Souls.
So. Fucking. Cheap.

Just...ugh. UGH.

Darth Vader in The Force Unleashed II....

That boss fight lasted about 15 minutes too long. All it comprised of was attacking, waiting for him to do his thing, attacking the clones he sends at you, attacking him, waiting for him to do his thing.... you get the picture. Then you finally beat him! And you have to do it again...

All the bosses in Front Mission Evolved were pointlessly long. You'd run out of ammo on all your firearms before one of them died.

I'd say The Bonus Boss in FF XII Yiazmat.
50 million HP and a Dmg cap of 7k per hit halfway through.
I died after I had it down to about 20 mil and decided to waste my time with something else.

I found a lot of the bosses in vagrant story to be exceptionally difficult, especially if you were doing a lot of side quests and explored a lot. Several had a lot of HP and my attacks did 1 damage, so I'd need to chain very big combos to do any real damage.

The Arishok in DA2 if playing as a warrior. Even after I beat him on the hardest difficulty, I went back and tried it again on easy and it still took me 30 minutes and he still had his instant loss combo. Crazy, especially as this boss is mind numbingly easy for mages and rogues.
Oh god this. Warrior was my second playthrough (after playing a rouge in my first) and I wondering if I was doing anything wrong, because I just could not damage the mother fucker. Even busting it down to easy took at least ten minutes. I was not pleased.

The King of Night in Ninety Nine Nights.

Virtually impossible unless you picked up one randomly dropped loot item on the final level that enables you to not lose energy whilst doing specials, as there's only one attack that's particularly effective against him. One problem; where it's random, people can literally try 100 times in a row and still not get the drop.

I finally gave up on that boss. I never went back to it.

The end boss of FF XIII. I don't remember his name. Orphan? Whatever. Took me forever and a day to kill that bastard. So bored the whole time and repeatedly frustrated with his "You will now die in X amount of time" attack. That entire fight was bullshit.

These guys are not 'bosses' but I seriously hated the Chainsaw Wielding bad guys in Resident Evil 4. I used to purposely pick the giant monster boss every time at the cross road because I just COULD NOT kill those bastards.

I just ran.

From sounds of it ya didn't have right weapons for the job >< Tough bosses yeh, but only hitting for 1hp is unusual. At least it made the dragon fights more epic right? :p

Otherwise it's been a long time since a videogame boss gave me stress (also partly due to nature of most games i play), but only one i can think off atm is final boss from prototype.
I was breezing through most of the game before that boss, and didn't persist as didn't find fighting him "fun" like i did the previous bosses, it was a chore not a pleasure and quickly gave up as felt was a waste of time for little fun.

THE UR-DRAGON.

OH, THE DAMN UR-DRAGON...

For clarification: Online version of Ur-Dragon in Dragon's Dogma takes damage from everyone fighting it seperately in their own games. But you can't do enough damage to actually notice unless you've been either sorcerer (highest magic atk growth) or assassin (highest atk growth) the whole game, and the absolute worst part: you have to actually be there for the last pathetic sliver of health to have a chance at dealing the killing blow and getting any kind of decent loot. Otherwise, and this has happened 6 times now, the game gives you a decent weapon and a wagon-load of f***ing wakestones, which are all well and good until all you want is some decent armour.

Purely offline, if you can classify Occupation of Arteria Carpals from ACfA as a boss, yeah...that.

Gurdy from Binding of Isaac, it seems like he takes forever to put down, also the end bosses take damage equal to a small stone thrown against Tank armor plating.
Also, the final one is pretty boring, with some really cheap moves.

And every single boss that charges at you. Three times enough already, but do the same thing for about 10 times really gets boring.

Also, That Yuan Ti cleric boss from Neverwinter Nights OC. I fuckin' hate her.
