Im sure most of you have seen the thread on great quotes, so that got me thinking of all the rediculous things I've heard in games over the years.

First awsomely bad quote that came to mind...

"Where's everyone going....Bingo?!"
- Leon Kennedy (Resident Evil 4)

Okay, I need clarification. Does it have to be just a bad-line, or can it be good in theory, but bad gramatically, or even just engrish? Just curious before I post one 'cause I don't want to post incorrecty.

"Wow, I've never sen a talking mutt before. You'd definitely win first place at a dog show."

Dante in Devil May Cry 3. Terrible line.

"And right now, my soul is screaming for me to stop you!"

Also from Dante in Devil May Cry. The line itself wasn't so bad, as it was the way it was delivered. He says it quietly at the beginning, then shouts STOP YOU! It would have been more dramatic if he'd said it silently.

Apologies for making you read that, but if you were stupid enough to click on the thread, you deserve it.

I've got nothing wrong with poor translation as a quote. Sometimes it doesn't get any better than hearing someone yell gibberish in what was supposed to be a serious moment.

"Get Down!"
-Any Imperial unit in Star Wars Battlefront when confronted by a gernade.
This of course is an absoloutely retarded tactic, because if you crouch or lie down, you can't move fast enough to escape the blast, and even so is just useless.

"A dud!"
- An extremely retarded-sounding (and shortly to be obliterated by a huge electro-cannon) Navy SEAL in MGS2, after firing a grenade and finding that it appears to be dysfunctional. I shout this randomly at least 4 times a day. It does me good.

Resident Evil 1, something along the lines of:

"Take this Jill, the master of lockpicking."
Don't forget "if you were in there any longer you would have been a Jill Sandwhich!"

----

I also wanna mention some dumb metal gear quotes, like how Snake (or Big Boss, since this is the 3rd one.) freaks the fuck out about his "awesome" gun that EVA gave him, and starts gabbing off about every damn minuscule detail about the damn thing.

-or the "six shots" scene with Ocelot...seriously, keep that crap in B grade action movies or something! -but hey, anything snake says is cool ;)

"It's dangerous to go alone! Take This!" (or something like that)
~That guy at the beginning of Zelda. Despite the fact that I now have a sword I am still "going alone".

"I FEEL ASLEEP"
~The guards in the original Metal Gear

I believe the line was "You are truly the master of unlocking!" But that may have just been a paraphrase for de-rez.

On-topic, "LUIIIISSSS!"-Leon in RE4. Could have been dramatic if it weren't so over the top.

"My information may be of use to you Stalker." -STALKER Shadow of Chernobyl

The first time I heard it, it wasn't that bad... then he said it again 10 seconds later... and again another 10 seconds after that... and then again... and again.

"I feel asleep" is a classic one.

Also, for overly stupid line could also go to Devil May Cry 1, "I should have been the one to FILL YOUR DARK SOUL WITH LIIIIIIIIGHT!"

Erm, yeah, Dante. Take your prozac and it's time we leave this castle now, hmmm?

"You spoony bard!" FF2. C'mon, spoony?

"Get me out of this hell-hole." Baldur's Gate. Not a bad quote per se, but I think anyone who played BG put a temporary mute on the voices when they started hearing this asshole.

"Number 83, sign my shirt!" Gears of War. Although pretty much all of GoW was a lesson in cheesy dialogue.

"This blade's the best battle companion a swordsman could ask for!" (or something close to that).
-DMC4. Bad writing, worse delivery.

Any of the hilariously mistranslated lines from Final Fantasy Tactics (the PlayStation one, not those crap imitations on the GBA). None spring to mind, but rest assured that they were frequent.

Any of the heartbreakingly gay lines from the Kingdom Hearts games. Most of us have probably experienced these, although we're probably pretty embarrassed about it.

From Star Wars Battlefront 2. "Darth Maul! FLANK HIM!" It just comes across as a sort of odd thing to say...
