Chane Laforet, Lina Inverse, Lucy/Kaede, and Rin Tohsaka would be my line-up.

Ah, good ol' Rena Ryugu. Not as much a badass as she's eccentric and at times... unbalanced... though.

[small]If you're one to appreciate Higurashi, feel free to join the local cult [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/groups/view/Higurashi-no-Naku-Koro-ni].[/small]

Since everyone I could think of already have been mentioned I'll just leave a list of my candidates here:

Major Motoko Kusanagi - Ghost in the Shell.
She had her head exploded by a high caliber sniper bullet in S.A.C. and it just made her angry.

Yoko Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann.
Everything there is awesome, so yeah...
And timeskip makes her legal!

Subaru Nakajima - Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS.
In a universe where everyone shoots fuckoff-lasers, she punches things. Really, really hard.
And well rainbows are straighter than Subaru Nakajima

Mai Tokiha - Mai - HiME.
Dragon with scramjet engines. I need not say anymore.

EDIT: Well would you look at that, I just remembered a badass that haven't been mentioned yet.

She slices up alien spaceships with a katana.

If it's about the spelling, "Ryugu" with lines over the two "u" would be closer to the original one [http://whentheycry.wikia.com/wiki/Ry%C5%ABg%C5%AB_Rena], rather than "Ryuugu". Just haven't figured out how to add the lines on my localized keyboard or if the forum can show the characters (though they can apparently be copy pasted: Ryūgū).

EDIT: It does show up, it appears.

Balalaika from Black Lagoon.

Seriously, this chick has killed kids!

oh HELL yes.

Its either Balalaika, or Roberta. Roberta was just mental.

Balalaika wins though because her mafia outfit has the best name ever. Hotel Moscow.

Well... I've never seen it spelled 'Ryugu' xD
It looks weird to me, like you'd pronounce it 'ruh-guh'. The two 'u's emphasise the long u sound :/

Probably true, I just prefer the other one. Guess it doesn't matter much, Rena is Rena.

Since I haven't watched that many actionpacked anime's, I'm gonna have to go with Suigintou from Rozen Maiden. She's just awesome.

りゅうぐうレナ would be the kana for it. (Ryuuguu Rena)

WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK SHE IS!?!? (canonically she's 14 so...yeah)

or Integra just for her full name.
http://i74.beon.ru/42/24/82442/1/2600001/integra35.jpeg
Sir Integra Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing
That is some well endowed jailbait. Anyway, I prefer a more mature woman. Like Revy http://surbrook.devermore.net/adaptationsanime/bl/revy.jpg
seems to me like you like prefer more clinically insane women. Seriously, when Revy and Eta (the slutty nun from the Ripoff Church) team up, fuckin' magic happens. :D

Clare was claimed on the very OP, so I'll go with Erza "The Titania" Scarlet from Fairy Tail.

I think most of my favourites have already been mentioned.
Lucy/Nyuu: check
Integra Hellsing: check
Motoko Kusanagi: check

The only ones not mentioned are:
Fuu (Samurai Champloo, seriously, she's 16 and she knows how to gamble and how to
trick two grown men to helping her
)
Mikoto Misaka (the 'railgun' from A Certain Magical Index and A Certain Scientific Railgun)
Yukari Yakumo (if you allow me to count the unofficial Touhou anime from Animate)

I've already been ninja'd several times, but Haruko Haruhara from FLCL. To quote TV Tropes:

She uses her Rickenbacker bass alternately as a music instrument, a motorized cudgel, a grenade launcher, a flying surfboard, and a weapon of mass destruction - oh, and in the first episode she reprograms a robot with it. To top it all off, she tends to put on
fan-service-y disguises and at one point cuts down a wall of bullets aimed at her using only a straight razor. For the second-to-last fight, she shows up on her flying guitar in a bunny suit, armed with a slingshot she pulled from another character's forehead. The enemy is a giant hand in a trench coat, and each finger is armed with a weapon she can fit into. She takes this on with a slingshot.

Note: The slingshot is made from a very small guitar.
Need I say more?

Typically this would be an open and shut case with me proclaiming "Twilight Suzuka," but believe it or not i would have to mention a couple of Clannad characters. Kotomi can kill people with a violin and actually reminds me a little bit of myself, intelligent but highly detached from reality and societal norms. Then you've Tomoyo who is giving off the illusion of being a good girl, but she causes such devastation that Alex Mercer models his martial arts skills after Tomoyo. Y'know, pre-mutation.

But regardless, my final decision is the one that matters, yes? And it is a tricky one. I've always been... appreciative of girls who have no qualms about maiming or killing so my list is somewhat long. Teresa of the Faint Smile and Suzuka would be obvious choices, but true killing potential lies in the ability to catch your opponents off guard, and neither of them are particularly subtle. So with that in mind, i'd ultimately say the 16 year old girl who can defy the laws of physics Tomoyo--
...i forgot her family name...
