Half Life 2 on Hard without dying, at all (support characters included).

I've yet to succeed, almost made it to the citadel a couple times but I got blown up by striders' warp cannons because I was taking cover and hadn't memorized where they hit yet.

Completing Cod: WaW on Veteran difficulty,so many grenades...

Getting 53,595 zombie kills on L4D overall, such a piss take it took so long.

Play through Demons Souls.
I'm trying that as well, if memory serves I'd just killed the first boss and moved onto the second area. Yeah, I raged a couple of times.

I tried the three heart challenge in Ocarina of Time. It was fun.
The three heart challenge is awesome fun, I tried it in OoT and Twilight Princess. I got to the Water Temple in both games then got lost in both of them. *shakes fist angrily at the water temples*

Beating Amnesia: The Dark Descent without shitting myself every two minutes...
Yes this is tricky, I got the wine cellar key then heard a scary noise, so I hid in a cupboard for about 5 minutes...

Another one for me is beating Ninja Gaiden 2, just beating it once would be satisfying in itself.

I kind of suck, so my only somewhat difficult one was getting all the achievements in Bayonetta.

Completing an entire level of Hunter for Splinter Cell Conviction without either firing a shot, or ever being seen. For the achievements, they do not need to be completed at the same time, but I tried to do so, and it was really hard, and i have still not succeeded

Playing FF8 without laughing during any cutscene.
This one takes the cake. Did you succeed? Was it even possible?

But once my computer is brought back from the dead with upgrades, I shall restart my journey to get into Gold in Starcraft 2...even though I suck.
Don't even bother, trust me. You can easily get to diamond with just 4 gating every game (wich I did). SC2 multiplayer is nothing but cheese, even up in diamond. It's not the new awesome e-sport we've been led to believe. It sucks.

Well I set "difficult challenges" for myself in games all the time, but my most recent endeavor was playing Mass Effect 2 on my modified insanity difficulty setting. I died a lot at 1st, but I eventually got used to it & I feel "more badass now" :p & I don't regret it one bit. It was intense! It took me about 80 hours to completely finish the game with all assignments & everything & I'm planning on replaying the game with these settings sometime soon.

Well, recently it would probably be doing Ironmode ninja stealth runs of several of my faster metal songs on Audiosurf.

Finding all the feathers in AC2 WITHOUT a guide was a *****, but I did it.

Beating Uncharted 2 on crushing was difficult, and was fucking enraging during the last third of the game.

I've done the Little Rocket Man achievement on Half-Life 2 Episode 2...

I also made a redstone 7-segment display in Minecraft, and an underground Dwarf City, and a massive cube, and a... wait, that's the entire point of Minecraft. Setting yourself stupid and pointless challenges.

And I wanted to punch myself in the face for over-complicating the Amateria ball and weight puzzle as much as I did. It was the ONE puzzle I consistently needed a guide for, and then this time, "Oh my frickin' god... Was it seriously THAT simple!? THANK YOU, ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PHYSICS."
But that was the one they gave you loads of clues for in J'nanin! I admit I got stuck there first time through because I couldn't find the lever that moved the pivot along (though I worked out that it had to be there).

Hardest thing I've ever done was slightly over 55 takedowns in a single road rage event in Burnout 3 without crashing even once. It was about ten minutes of extremely precise concentrated timing. I was literally shaking from the adrenaline afterwards.

Doesn't sound that spectacular, but still, I'm quite happy with it.

Uncharted 2 on crushing. I just sorta stopped. I'm pretty sure it was at the part at the end where you gotta fight all those monster things.

I like to play L4D like I wasn't a carrier. I.E., 1 hit and I am down for good. Pretty hard, I.E. almost impossible.

As the type of person that yells at the t.v. when I can't complete something on a video game, I normally don't set ridiculous challenges for myself. But the ones that come to mind are:

Beating MW2 on Veteran

Getting The Only Free Bullet achievement on Half-Life 2: Episode One. (For those of you who don't know what that is, you complete the entire game shooting only one bullet. The title is fairly explanitory...)

Currently: Trying to beat ME2 on Insane.
