As for myself, I've tried to set moral standards in my gaming. One recent example is in Fallout 3, not doing something I'd consider immoral in real life. That sounds simple, but when you break things down a bit simpler, that means no stealing (lets admit it, we're all kleptos in that game), no graverobbing, no putting others unnecessarily at risk, no doing that little trick where you load up a body with 2000lbs of equipment and drag it for two miles to civilization, putting myself in front of the line of fire for an NPC-stuff like that. Over time, became easier, so I'd like to try that on hardcore for when I get New Vegas, especially when factions become a role as well.
Not that hard, but getting the one free bullet achievement for Half-Life 2: Episode 1 and the no guns in Ravenholm achievement in Half-Life 2. Both of them were a blast to do though. I usually just play for fun and to relax, so if it becomes too aggravating it's not fun for me anymore and I need to tone it back a little bit.

Soloing raid bosses on my Druid and Death Knight in WoW is another challenge I like to make time for.
The hardest challenge I ever did was playing through Fire Emblem 7 without losing a single unit or reseting once. If a character died, even on a bullshit lucky crit, i'd start over from Chapter 1. Lyn's story is cake, and after the first 3 missions Lyn could solo the entire opposing army by herself. When I got to Hector's story things got a bit more difficult. I probably restarted a dozen or so times, usually wiping out 10+ hours of gameplay each time, but eventually I did succeed.

This is going to seem obvious, considering it's a game explicitly designed to be 'tough as nails'

God of war 3 in chaos mode, my hand will never be the same.

Beating the Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons and Ages without using GameFAQs or anything else.
The reason I put this in? Because I have been stuck for 3 years at the very very very last boss (you know which one it is), and I can not for the life of me figure out the puzzle to get to the final chamber. To this day I still don't know how to do it, but I'll be damned if I give up now.

Complete God of War 1 in under 5 hours. There's a trophy for getting it done on the PS3 and it's the only trophy for that game that I haven't unlocked yet. My fastest time so far is 8 hours, and that's with me just running through the game, skipping over enemies and chests and saves i.e. it's no easy feat =/
Drive safely(stop at red lights, etc..) in GTA 4, it lasted 3 minutes. And i tried to kill a raid solo by logging 5 accounts at the same time on the same PC, it took me 2 hours and my friends weren't very pleased about all that missing XP the next day.
Last level of LoS hardest difficulty while simultaneously completing the challenge which pretty much means do not get hit. Took me almost 2 hours.
Easily my proudest personal achievement in gaming was beating Diablo 2 solo with each class on Hell difficulty. This took me years to finally accomplish.
However, I did allow for some limited cheating rules:
1) I could dupe any item I found (including gems and runes, but not a gem or rune I've yet to achieve properly).
2) I could exchange equipment between the classes as need be.
I figure I could beat the game despite these rules, but it would have likely taken 100's of hours longer due to the heavy need to grind to get as close to ideal gear as possible. I highly doubt I'll achieve anything close to this with any other game in my life.
