Library Wars (Toshokan Senso). Love the premise, love how it makes members of my profession out to be badasses, but the series revolves around the two most unlikeable characters. I'm hoping the manga isn't as irritating.
YOur not use to anime are you? :p
I did not have any trouble with Toshokan Senso other than it being so short.
Oh hell no, I was the biggest otaku around 10 years ago. But that series helped remind me why I stopped watching anime.
Meh if stoped watching anime then you no longer "get it" :p

I have a higher tolerance on strange/crappy things in amine than I do in film or TV, I can;t stand most film these days and only hate on anime when they turn a lite fanservice show like Kiddy grade into junk like Kiddy girl and....

full metal alchemist, for everything it does right, it also does something annoying and wrong
havent seen brotherhood tho, maybe its closer to the manga
It is, I lean to FMA more(much stronger op/en songs) but FMA:BH is good.

They will eventually remake Claymore lkike they recently did with fullmetal alchemist, your just gonna have to wait a few more years till the writer of the manga finishes the storyline.

As for Worst anime series i dont really have one as most of the really bad stuff tends not to be licenced and the stuff that slips through is so mindnumbingly bad or boring that most of the time it wont see a UK licence anyway...there are however alot of series that could have been so much more interesting if given more time to grow beyond 13 episodes or in the case of others if they had just waited till the manga series was abit further along before they made the anime.

Fairy Tail. The manga is awesome, sure, but the anime is just bad.

While the manga is targeted towards teenagers, the anime seems more targeted towards kids, which is a great disappointment since many of the more violent aspects of Fairy Tail are left out. Also, I prefer the fact that in the manga, Natsu is impervious to fire, while in the anime he can merely eat fire.

Maybe this manga just doesn't translate well into anime...
I dunno Fairy Tale is pretty good not as good as the manga but its transition was better than most....

Hardly FMA made boat loads of money enough to do a do over, claymore not so much...one reason we don;t hear much about the Berserk do over....

High School of the Dead
Kenichi the Mightiest Disciple
These three that I listed nearly made me hate anime. I was at that point for a while mind you
Strange I liked all of them and thought they could have been ALOT worse..

Neon Genisis Evangelion. After hearing the mass of praise I have heard from the fans, I would expect something that I could get past at least episode 5. I didn't.
I have yet to find a character who I hate more the Shinji, whining basterd. I also hear that the ending is terribad, so I'm glad I didn't get that far. Also the fanboys and girls annoy me to death for not liking it.
I have nothing against people liking it, so leave me alone for not.
You didn't miss much by not finishing it. Shinji is just as much of a worthless turd at the end as the beginning. Worst of all, it seems to have rubbed off on some of the other characters. I was horribly disappointed with that one. I saw a few things that were supposed to wrap things up a little better, but I didn't feel like listening to Shinji crying anymore.

Also, after hearing so much about it, Death Note was rather disappointing. Just got bored with it and gave up on it.

Naruto. It had a rough start, got good with unique abilities and an ok story, but then at some point after the time skip (the point when it focuses on Sasuke), it just went to hell. It got better, but it was one of those low points that a series never recovers from completely, so it kind of ruins an entire series. One of the main reasons that Sasuke is without a doubt my most hated anime character ever.

Honestly I found Slayers to be really boring, apparently it's a classic but the art style, plot, characters and the way the show just dragged on and on didn't do it for me.

Linebarrels of Iron. God that was awful.

Terribly animated mechs, an ugly art style and a main character that was just an asshole for the sake of being an asshole? Yeah, I'll pass.

It has got to be The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (Season 2). A good portion of the series was actually fun to watch and added a lot to the plot, but the entire series was tarnished by Kyoto Animations freak experiment. I mean seriously... Endless 8 (¬_¬). They could have easily cut out 5 episodes from that and replaced it with their adventures in the snow lodge, which I consider being the 3rd best volume of the novels.

Glad I not the only one who hated that piece of sh*t of an anime and thought the main character was an asshole. I seriously wanted to punch that fool in the face.

Were I to choose, I would have to say Angel Beats. Everything about it was wonderful, the cast was varied and interesting, the main characters were extremely well developed, it had a fantastic sound track, an original premise, everything an anime needs to be wonderful. And wonderful it was, right up until the last two or three episodes. The ending was so atrocious that every iota of love that I had held for the series evaporated in an instant. The twist at the end was contrived and out of the blue, and raised more questions about the world than it answered, on top of creating a multi-dimensional time paradox. It was the most disappointing thing since The Phantom Menace.

I got about 4 episodes in, realized his "sense of justice" was just him being a dick and that none of the other characters weren't even remotely interesting. I'm glad I got out when I did. Also if I had one word to describe the art it would be "dirty."

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya

I've already made me hatred of the character of Haruhi quite clear in a previous thread, and how I wish she'd get quartered by a semi with Rutger Hauer at the wheel.

I expect to see a lot of NGE, which I happen to love. Funny how the world works, isn't it?

School days, it had potential to be a real good anime by having the characters react realistically but somehow screwed it up.
Man, gotta agree with this one ... If there was ONE series that I could call out for having a %$#@ed up ending, it'd be School Days.

I tell anyone who is planning to watch this series to stop at episode 9 or 10 and just call it good from there. They'll be much happier for it.

Air.

as a person who loves those sappy KEYS animes, I could not bring myself to finish their first. 6 episodes in and absolutely nothing has happened nor did you even feel any emotional attachment to any of the characters.

on the good note, the show was fantastic to watch as a sleeping aid.

Well... I thought Death Note and NGE were pretty awful after a few episodes, but that wasn't super disappointing. When I stopped watching those, I was definitely not disappointed that they weren't better. It simply functioned as a signal to me that I just don't like all that much anime. Probably the most disappointing anime for me was Akira. It had been hyped up to me more than either of the previous shows and seemed to be held up as some kind of masterpiece. When I watched it I was genuinely interested only to have all my hopes crushed by an anime I hated so much I stopped watching 10 minutes before the conclusion, just so I didn't have to deal with the whole thing.

My least disappointing anime created the most disappointment for me.

They aren't going to make a Claymore series 2...

[sub]Sadface to the max...[/sub]
I liked Claymore a lot, but the ending of the first season was so different than the manga that I don't think making a second season would work super well unless they redid the last few episodes. I like the stuff that happens post-time jump a lot, only it seems like less and less is happening per issue now (with the possible exception of the events of 106-107, which made me sadface to the max).

Worst ever anime that were made:

1) Tekken: how many times do you hear the swear word Shit. Choppy story board and a lack of focus on most of the anime charaters.

2) Pokemon: Just end the dame series already. the origional wasen't bad, Johto okay, the others.....mehh but the first espisode of Pokemon silver was the only best one.

3) Beyblade: Sigh how many verisons of this Anime are there.they all bit as well

4) Baukudan: Sigh

5) Puni puni poni: i like this anime but really it dosen't make any real sence at all and it has way too many crossover refferences the series of this anime was not needed. It was a clear attempt to cash in on Boborororo which intern though it was a good idea to make a series based off the one time anime of Puni Puni Poni.

6) Transformers Re amped: This was when Optium prime was a fire engine, Megatron can change into a few different modes.... The origional japanese voices and storyboard actually was pretty good but however when they translated to North america they have all the autobots and Depections announced their attacks like Pokemon trainers.

7: Duel Masters: you get a good laugh at watching this but after a while sigh....

top three piss pore North american attempts at anime

1) Amanzing spies; ARGHHHHHHH!!!!! replace the teenager with junior high kids.

2) Totalty spies: heres to ending this dragged on series which was really a bad ending.

3) Teen titans movie: This was a bad movie , Raven chews gum joy, Beast boy sings a new bad verison of the theme song, the plot stinked. it killed the otherwise a well made series

Top five anime

1) The Melchocality of Haruhi Suzumya: A kick ass anime in genernal, intresting story line plot and intresting charaters. The english voices are bad expect for Haruhi's The dissaperance is even better.

2) Little star: Again the same anime artist delivers in this one as well. great series

3) Gundam series: This anime has been around for a very long time and it keeps getting better and better. Expect for Turnabout gundam a well made anime series

4: Inyuasha: Well made series with a lot of story and great charater development.

5) Yugioh: The anime series rocks. A very vilonent and bloody anime, Yes vilonet and bloody. This was not really meant for kids from the start, Too bad when they reamped this over to North America they vut out the first 20 espisodes, edited the guns blood, swearing and talked about the shadow realm way too much
