Psychic Detective Yakumo was a big letdown for me. I was all set for the next Death Note and ended up with more talking and less action than Witch Hunter Robin.
Well unfortunately I had already acquired all 24/26 episodes, so it would have been a waste not to watch it all. Shame the series didn't get any better and the later episodes were full of the kind of BS that makes M.Night Shyamalan's latest works look like a freakin' masterpiece.Arisato-kun said:I got about 4 episodes in, realized his "sense of justice" was just him being a dick and that none of the other characters weren't even remotely interesting. I'm glad I got out when I did. Also if I had one word to describe the art it would be "dirty."Master10K said:Glad I not the only one who hated that piece of sh*t of an anime and thought the main character was an asshole. I seriously wanted to punch that fool in the face.Arisato-kun said:Linebarrels of Iron. God that was awful.
Terribly animated mechs, an ugly art style and a main character that was just an asshole for the sake of being an asshole? Yeah, I'll pass.
ok you peaked by interest. Can't believe there is a spinoff to one of my highly regarded animes Outlaw Star. I'll keep my expectations low however, as i know most spinoffs are terrible so thanks for informing me such a thing existed.NameIsRobertPaulson said:Angel Links. Same people who made Outlaw Star, focused on the same universe, with a ship that can fire a cannon that will blow up a small planet. But the ending was crap, and the plot devolved into something terribly trivial.
I'd probably agree with these two, Neon Genisis Evangelion was probably the most annoying, pretentious, 'slug race' boring anime I've encountered. I watched it back was originally running in 96' before the big craze hit and man, I was so disappointed. There's like 3 interesting characters in the entire run (Gendo Ikari, Mana Kirishima, and Misato Katsuragi) as I find Shinji to still be holding the award of worst character in any medium I've seen or read.Ralen-Sharr said:You didn't miss much by not finishing it. Shinji is just as much of a worthless turd at the end as the beginning. Worst of all, it seems to have rubbed off on some of the other characters. I was horribly disappointed with that one. I saw a few things that were supposed to wrap things up a little better, but I didn't feel like listening to Shinji crying anymore.Fallen-Angel Risen-Demon said:Neon Genisis Evangelion. After hearing the mass of praise I have heard from the fans, I would expect something that I could get past at least episode 5. I didn't.
I have yet to find a character who I hate more the Shinji, whining basterd. I also hear that the ending is terribad, so I'm glad I didn't get that far. Also the fanboys and girls annoy me to death for not liking it.
I have nothing against people liking it, so leave me alone for not.
Also, after hearing so much about it, Death Note was rather disappointing. Just got bored with it and gave up on it.
that was a good anime, especially The Final Act. my only problem with it is there were too many standalone episodes. i would have preferred it if there were less shards with each one being a more intense struggle, the Seven blokes thing was really good.Zudarkness said:4: Inyuasha: Well made series with a lot of story and great charater development.
Really? Perhaps I didn't watch long enough or something. Which means I should probably give it another try...Christian Fernandez said:Nono . Last I checked he was both impervius to fire and could eat it in the anime.C117 said:Fairy Tail. The manga is awesome, sure, but the anime is just bad.
While the manga is targeted towards teenagers, the anime seems more targeted towards kids, which is a great disappointment since many of the more violent aspects of Fairy Tail are left out. Also, I prefer the fact that in the manga, Natsu is impervious to fire, while in the anime he can merely eat fire.
Maybe this manga just doesn't translate well into anime...
The ending of the anime is what convinces me they can't make a series 2, even if they wanted to, as well.Fightgarr said:I liked Claymore a lot, but the ending of the first season was so different than the manga that I don't think making a second season would work super well unless they redid the last few episodes. I like the stuff that happens post-time jump a lot, only it seems like less and less is happening per issue now (with the possible exception of the events of 106-107, which made me sadface to the max).
