The entire last bit of that game was terrible. Why the fuck did they feel the need to put in a boss fight with a chopper?

And to top it all off you battle a glitchy boss (though boss probably isn't the best term, as the game killed the boss for me). Then the ending is just a giant kick in the balls.

Unreal Tournament 3
that game had an ending i though it was just here is a vehicle PANCAKED!!
Main character's sister gets killed, not that anyone cares about the story of an unreal tournament game...

I found myself incredibly disappointed with the endings in Deus Ex. They were just... lazy, for lack of a better word. It was about 30 seconds of dialogue that gives you no follow-up whatsoever. I know its supposed to be "open for interpretation" or some bullshit but it didn't strike me like that, it struck me as a lazy attempt to just get the endings over with.
Good game, bad ending.

GTA4 either ending leads you on a revenge filled path and even after your done it doesn't bring your loved one back.
Huh. GTA IV was one of my favorite endings. It did a good job of hammering all the points it was making home. One of the points is Shwnbob just pointed out.

Overlord 2 was actually a bit disappointing, good ending just not what I expected. That and the last boss was really weak compared to everything leading up to it.

What really made this ending so bad was it coming so sudden and stopping the game.
I never understood this complaint. Did people really not foresee the ending not letting you continue? It didn't bother me. What bothered me was to bullshit quality of it.

Why couldn't it be like the old Fallout games were it told you how your actions affected the various people throughout the wasteland? I wanted to know if those idiots in Big Town got killed or not.

I would have to say Knights of the old Republic II. With such a good story and a very good predecessor, the ending pissed me off to no small end. Seemed as if they never finished the game and had to tack something there so they could release it.
Oh yeah, I forgot about that one. And it had such a good build up too.

Dreamfall: The Longest Journey - it's clearly the middle game in a trilogy but I have no confidence in the last game actually being produced.

Indigo Prophecy/Fahrenheit - what the hell? I mean seriously, what the hell? Nice jumping of the cyberpunk Mayan shark there, folks.

The original Fallout 3 ending made me yell.
Then of course, COD 4, I kill the main villain and then I get taken away on a helicopter with no info. on my teammates, and after the credits... who the hell are these guys?

God dammit. I havn't gotten around to finishing that cause I am waiting for the third than play the episodes in one fell swoop. But seriously, just cause a game is old doesn't mean you should assume everyone knows the endings. Use the Fucking spoiler bars.

Jade Empire.

The story is just about the best I have ever seen in a video game, and the ending was just a bunch of random people standing there cheering, for both the good and bad endings.

LAME.

And then the only ending I never saw, the neutral one, turns out to be awesome and fit perfectly with everything that had happened up to that point.

Needless to say, I was disappointed.

Tetris. There is no ending. You just stack blocks forever and ever!
Ha!

Good job.

You would get a cookie but you just cheated, there is no ending, so it is not valid for this thread.

Although it is still a good joke.

=)

Fallout 3.

Utterly horrid, stupid, pathetic, confusing, bollocks and doesn't make sense.

I honestly can't think of a better one than the Fallout 3 ending. It sucks, utterly.

Agreed, I liked that game though.
