The Spore Galactic edition.
My brother and company got that for the normal price (store mix-up) and has since been installed on 8 different machines. For us it was worth it.

I bought The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay for $15. Little did I know the 360 couldn't run it.

EDIT:

You thought Orange Box was a bad deal? I seriously don't even know what to say. It was an averaged priced game when it was released, contained one large single player game with 2 extra small chapters, one extremely well made (but short) puzzle game and an amazing online game.
I can see someone not liking The Orange Box. It's very noticeably old-fashioned in the modern market.

Addendum: The Orange Box is one of my favorite games.

Lost Planet: Extreme Conditions. What really sucked was that it looked so awesome but turned out to be boring as all hell.
You're so bad. Great game. Takes a LOT of skill.

The first Gears of War collectors edition... Although the game itself is great, I don't feel the extra content added for the twenty dollar price jump was worth it.

How much did you pay for it? It had its issues to be sure, but it had enough polish where it counts where it would be worth a purchase pretty much any time not at launch.

I probably paid more for The Shivering Isles for Oblivion than it was really worth, and even $16 seemed high for F.E.A.R. when I realized how much hatred the game had for players.

Oblivion, pre-ordered it as all of my american friends were raving about it as if it was the best thing since jesus.

Controls are horrible, the graphics were so damn awful (despite that aparently being one of the major selling points that it looked Next-Generation.. maybe the graphics in PC games had spoilt me?) there were like 5 different voice actors, the main quest was truely boring, etc.

A few months back some of my friends who love it to bits tried to get me in to it again, saying that it only becomes good once you've put in a bit of time to it; blah blah... but sorry it was just a freaking crap and buggy game that felt truely painful to play. Especially at how unstructured it was.

Don't get me wrong I do quite enjoy sandbox games, like GTA, Elite or FarCry 2. Oblivion however just felt like it was something made by talentless fans of a gaming series that to be honest wan't exactly grand to begin with.

It's strange in all given this is probably one of the biggest Xbox 360 (PC/PS3) titles released, and most of the others people have listed they don't like... I really quite enjoyed playing through.

Two Worlds, alright so I didn't get it full price is let's be honest so bad in every respect it's actually amusing to play. Mind you whenever I get bored in a game I make up my own dialog with my brother as we're playing, but it's like a B-Movie. It's fun because it's just so bad.

Mirror's Edge I thought was just amazing ^_^ honestly I wouldn't mind seeing a Tomb Raider game that used that style of play, cause it'd kick-ass! In-fact the only people I know who don't like that game are those who are just crap at it.

Fable 2 it's just like the first one, great to go through once but does get boring quickly. It's a good solid generic action rpg, alright so not exactly as awsome as say seeing Link in HD Graphics but still it's a good laugh. Sides, it's not like there is anything like Jakk & Daxster or Zelda on the Xbox 360 anyway. Fable fills that nitch quite well, just a shame it leaves you kinda wishing there was a bit more to it or that the main story was a bit more compelling.

Too Human, got that one on budget... mainly because of playing the demo. This isn't one I would've actually been pissed at throwing £40 on, although I am happier I got it at budget price. The issue with this game really boils down to the actual gameplay itself, because on the face of it; it's quite enjoyable. In-fact the controls aren't exactly awful like some titles I could list, they just feel a bit clumsy. It's the same with the menu system.
In-fact the real thing that actually annoys me about that game is the difficulty curve, where in it doesn't have one really. The enemies are adapted to whatever level you're currently at so no matter how well you do from the start, the next set of enemies will always be X level if you are Y level. Suppose to be "adaptive" but instead it just makes you rely more on finding ridiculously powerful weapons. Good example, the second mission I was getting my ass handed to me left and right despite the exact same enemies the mission before they were easy as pie. No matter how much I leveled beating horde after horde only to restart a section and have to beat them again, they didn't really get easier. The second I found a weapon that was over 4x more powerful that everything I had or could make, and BAM! everything suddenly became a walk in the park again (well until the ridiculously overpowered boss that only has a specific weakness that you have to find out with no sodding help).

Those are not "bad" games, but still I wouldn't have been totally disappointed with them in the same way that I was with Oblivion. I REALLY do want to find something to like about the game, especially as so many others I know enjoy it so much but I just can't find anything.

Assassins Creed, I got the Special edition for PS3 for 70 bucks which was the problem first off the special edition was nothing more than the game in a big tin case with a comic book on toilet paper, and a toy solider rendition of Altiar . And the PS3 ver of assassins creed had poor contrast and had massive framerate issues, my friend had the 360 version and rubbed it in my face.
What are you talking about? Assassin's Creed was awesome, and the graphics we better on the PS3. Try running on HD or something xP

I'd have to say the Special Edition of CoD: WAW. Extra canteen not worth the money.

GTA IV - $60.00 I can't bring myself to play the game, at all. It's just so dull.

Tom Clancy's Endwar. It's an RTS done just perfect, and quite realistically at that, but it's so damned hard to do that I can't get through the easiest levels.
I <3 Endwar. If you need any help getting into it, PM me and I'll be glad to give you any tips you want. I've gotten through Normal and Expert, working my way in Hardcore, and have a decent (if a bit short) online record.

EDIT: On-topic, I feel I paid too much for Devil May Cry 4. Game bored me to tears: the enemies I faced were so dull and cookie-cuttered (seriously, there's the puppet things, and occasionally a ice-monster or a suit of armor) that I quit shortly after the first boss.

Do you just not like FPS games at all? I still play TF2 regularly and often relive half-life 2 / portal from time to time (maybe once or twice a year).
I do like FPS's and you are quite narrow minded if your stance is 'this game or nothing'.

The Orange Box wasn't that great, over half of it was Half Life 2 (which lost me around about the point it forced me to sit through unnessercary dialogue because the developers were afraid that I might want something besides shooting in a shooting game), Portal was alright but playing it more than once was seemingly pointless since the challange and comedy value is lost once you've seen it and know what's going to happen/what you have to do.

And finally, TF2 is painfully limited compared to other online shooters and suffers from some painful balance issues (you try and tell me with a straight face that an entire team of engineers is even remotely fair or reasonable).

I paid $20 each for Gears of War and Halo 3. And I regret every single penny I spent on these two abysmal pieces of crap. I have no idea what people see in these games. Particularly GoW, playing through that game was just painful. The only good thing I can say about it is that it was mercifully short.

This is a yes and no for me... I've always loved the music games, and thought GHIII was one of the best of them, so when it came to the new ones, I chose GH:WT over Rock Band 2. It would have been fine, but I bought it on the Wii, and the lyrics font they used is just too small to read on an HDTV in 480P.

However, the drum set and the plastic fake guitars are seriously good, and quite a bit better than the Harmonix ones, so I just bought RB2. Yeah, I spent an extra $50, but I have the better instruments with the better game now, but the overall price does irk me... $240

So...you don't like HL2 because it has a story? If you don't like games like HL2, then you really shouldn't have even looked at the orange box. Even so, it certainly wasn't a "most expensive game", and even if you didn't like "half" of it because it was HL2, it still had Portal and TF2 to make up for it. Fine, you didn't like it, but most expensive and not worth it? It had 5 games in it. 5.

And did you say "Balance issues" and "Team Fortess 2" in the same sentence? THe game which is constantly called out by players, reviewers, and developers alike for being quite possibly the most balanced multiplayer game ever? If a whole team of engineers really was an unfair advantage, then why does anything else ever (always) happen?

I had been waiting since they first announced Spore. For over 2 years I waited and what I got was a mediocre, over-hyped game. Screw you Maxis.
Hopefully they don't screw up with Sims 3.
OMG if they f*$% up Sims 3 I will be SO pissed. Yeah I liked Spore all the way up to the space travel part, but I saw that discussion in another thread a couple months ago.. Two worlds has to be my game pick.. $60 and played it for 5 minutes before I found out is was pure dog crap.
