Most hated Bands/musicians you like

I love Andrew WK, and I've never met anyone else who can even tolerate him.

Also, I really like Slipknot and I almost never tell anyone, because I'm afraid of the reaction I'll get (although I do understand, they can be pretty ridiculous).

Lastly, the Frogs tend to get VERY strong love/hate reactions from people; luckily, I've gotten mostly positive reactions.

I'm not even in her target audience, I listen to stuff like Pantera, Mudvayne, the Pixies, or Daft Punk. But it slightly get on my nerves when someone do a cover of bad romance or telephone and some people go "yeah, you made that song good" or "so much better than that freak". No one can "make a song good" if it was shite in the beginning.

Don't worry I like Ska, I think it is great, and I haven't met anyone who hates, so this is news to me. Not surprising though.

I grew up in a place with a pretty big underground post-hardcore/screamo/what-the-hell-ever community and for some reason, 85% of people hated ska, about 10% acknowledged it but didn't care for it, and the remaining 5% was spread very, very thin. It's just such a wonderful blend of music and instruments, and I don't understand what there is to hate about it. Also, in regards to the original poster up there, I'm with you on Phil Collins. Normally, I'd hate that sort of thing, but he has a certain je ne sais quoi about him.

I agree, I find it hard sometimes how someone could possibly hate it, the music just feels like it is full of life and usually leaves me in a good mood after listening.

Insane Clown Posse, it seems most people arn't very fond of them

EXCEPT THEM. If I wanted slightly religious and blatantly homophobic lyrics, I'd listen to 50 Cent.

So many of my favourite bands are hated by loads of people. People tend to insult them for not being real rock or metal and being too mainstream. I'd still hardly call some of these bands mainstream.

I don't know about the rest of the world, but in my community the entire Slipknot fanbase makes up of me and a few of my friends...

... Everyone else hates them, "because they wear masks"...

I can understand if you don't like them because you don't like metal, or because their lyrics can be a bit messed ("Disasterpiece" FTW), but seriously? Because they wear masks????

Hmhm, for me it's got to be "The Maids of Gravity." They aren't exactly despised so much as they are unpopular. They only had a couple mainstream hits and three albums all of which sell for one cent each on Amazon.com!
