I don't know anyone who hates 30SM.LightspeedJack said:What bands do you like that most people seem to hate? Mine would be 30 Seconds To Mars. I agree that Jared Leto comes across as a pretentious dickhole most of the time but they make some quality stadium rock tunes. I also enjoy a little Phil Collins every now and then (the Tarzan soundtrack is genius).
Same here, they actually have some very good melody's. Their lyrics are pretty crap a lot of the time (especially the censored versions) and they aren't great role models but I find them fucking funny.MrShadowzs said:Insane Clown Posse, it seems most people arn't very fond of them
thank you, and oh yeah there is no fucking way i would look up to themNazulu said:Same here, they actually have some very good melody's. Linkin Park as well, I'm not a huge fan and I'm quite aware they are a very simple pop band who sound exactly the same live, but they're not bad (they're older material). Much better than the bland crap I see on TV today.
THANK YOU!!! apparently not liking this group is the equivelent of being a nazi, a klansman, a WBC enthusist and a crunchy chick eater all at onceTomo Stryker said:The Black Eyed Pees, why the hell are they so famous? They juts puke out an overrated song every month or so and Fergy keep singing about how "Fergilicious" she is. Nothing but auto tune and catchy beats.
Edit: Whoops misread the title. Oh well.
What?! regardless of your opinion about ska how could anyone hate the Aquabats?? theyre fucking hilarious (especially live)StellarViking said:The Aquabats! and just about any ska music. I don't know why people hate ska.
Wow, I don't think I've ever known anyone to not like Beck.Vern5 said:I know some people who don't like Beck. I loved the Midnite Vultures album.

on topic i enjoy slipknot and stone sour(except for audio secrecy, the album was too popish for me, it reminded me of eddie riggs facepalming at the band he works for at the begining of brutal legend)
Funny thing, that, I was just listening to Disasterpiece. I'm in a band that plays similar music. In my community, people don't like metal. At all. Any kind of metal. It's all "rap", hard-core, prejudice-filled rap. Give me anything, whether it's Slayer, Slipknot, Skeletonwitch, Clutch, Beneath the Sky, Trivium... anything over rap.ThatLankyBastard said:I don't know about the rest of the world, but in my community the entire Slipknot fanbase makes up of me and a few of my friends...
... Everyone else hates them, "because they wear masks"...
I can understand if you don't like them because you don't like metal, or because their lyrics can be a bit messed ("Disasterpiece" FTW), but seriously? Because they wear masks????

Andrew WK is completely awesome. Follow him on Twitter, the dude's hilarious.face_head_mouth said:I love Andrew WK, and I've never met anyone else who can even tolerate him.
Also, I really like Slipknot and I almost never tell anyone, because I'm afraid of the reaction I'll get (although I do understand, they can be pretty ridiculous).
Lastly, the Frogs tend to get VERY strong love/hate reactions from people; luckily, I've gotten mostly positive reactions.
FNM is a bit of an acquired taste. People know "Epic" and go in expecting a lot of funky rap-metal stuff. Then they hear "Woodpecker from Mars" and other nonsense and it scares them. Mike Patton is a vocal freak, by the way. All those zombie noises in the L4D games? Patton. With no vocal effects (for the most part).MurderousToaster said:Nickelback.
Embarrassing to say it (I'm heavy into rock), and my friends would probably give me some really, really funny looks for saying it, but I like quite a lot of their songs.
I also like Faith No More, which is another one that my friends would stare at me weirdly for liking.
