"Dedicated servers aren't necessary"
"Multiplayer Matchmaking is a good idea!"
"Games for Windows..."
"Halo is a revolutionary game!"
"Peter Molyneux knows what gamers want"
"PC Gaming is declining"
"Game Dogs is funny and well animated"
" will be a WoW-Killer"

Shall I continue? I'm getting bored.

The MSN-news video about how No More Heroes 2.
Front Page- "New Wii game isn't for families"
I'm just thinking:
"If it's an M-rated game it's definitely not for families, and it can still be on the Wii regardless. the Wii is apparently only for families by your standards."
Just mostly generalizations about a console or game.

My sister often nags "you play those stupid games to much, go be social." While she avoids all contact with people as if they had the plague. She hates going to family gatherings and often tries to avoid them so she can sit on her computer and watch tv.

Well I was talking to a lady one time about career stuff and she was asking me what I am into I said that my passion was Gaming, then she said right away "Yeah, Go shoot yourself in the head"
I mean she didn't say anything directly about video games but she was totally not accepting them at all. She would not even accept my opinion on the topic. I get very tired of a lot of things blaming games for crimes, without even realizing the other factors that come into play.

My dad tried to argue that TV is better than games because and I quote "it is real life." This said whilst he was watching CSI, which I am fairly certain is not a documentary on real life events. It is some grown adults pretending to be cops when you think about it.
While I was watching some stuff on Rome: Total War, he asked how I could not be tired of the same game, yet still watches episodes of Law & Order he watched more than 5 years ago. Might I ask how watching the same episodes of the same shows all of the same type (crime dramas) isn't repetitive?

Plus the games are all the people I need Durrrr!

To be honest the most ignorant statements I've heard about gaming come from gamers themselves. Especially regarding games causing children to be desensitised to violence. The fact is you have no idea about the physcological cognition of young minds, so repeating broad sweeping statements suggesting you do is just as dogmatic as all the witch hunting jounalists on the BBC. You are not giving the gaming community a good image by being the ignorant stereotype the media portrays you to be.

It's the people at work who moan about my gaming habits, all women, and how it's a waste of time and then continue to regale each other with what they think will happen to Dave Wanker in Eastenders with all the passion you'd usually evoke for your own family or how some pair of cunthole twins are still in some waste of time fucking karaoke piss take.

And I'm wasting MY time?!?!?

I try to accept people's opinions, but when a person tells me that videogames are rotting my brain and that I'll "never get anywhere playing those stupid games", I get a little pissed. I also tune out of conversation whenever I hear someone on XBL or PSN say anything with the word '******' in their sentences. Wow, not only are you offensive and embracing the 'dumb gamer' stereotype, you've managed to also prove to me that you're definitely not comfortable with your sexuality. Congratulations.

I'm resisting the temptation to quote that first comment and make a snark back, because not only have I been ninja'd, but te joke really isn't that funny [sub]shut up subconscious, no it's not funny[/sub]

Anyway, aside from being told I must have poor social skills (after having had a forty minute conversation with someone), and my intelligence must be lower than other people in the class (after the teacher had already handed back my essay, which had received the highest mark in the year) I haven't had too many standouts.

Goddamn moron. Never happens on the internets though, praise the lord.

"All new video games suck. The golden age is over. I hate the new generation of video gamers, etc. etc. etc. And you can't disagree with me, because I'm a a more 'hardcore' player than you."
Just an overall douche-y and elitist opinion that irritates me.
yeah more or less

it does not help that i am in one of the stereotypical girl programs
