I can't believe no one's said this:

"Marijuana is a gateway drug."
Wow, I remember this happening 2 years ago, in my health class.
My teacher told us that we were starting a "drug unit", things just went downhill from there.

Also, I've had a couple of teachers who say that communism doesn't work, socialism isn't used effectively in any "modern" country, and capitalism is the most effective modern economy.

1. In reality, "true" communism CAN be kept stable (no corruption, capitalist "values"), but most likely not as a large country, maybe in a small independent town.

2. ever heard of Europe?

3. don't get me started on capitalism and it's shortcomings... (depression, our current "recession", etc.)
What about Europe? Communism isn't used here. Neither is Socialism.
How is not socialism used here? Well, ok, I have to admit I don't know about the rest of the europe but in finland one of our three major political parties is the social-democratic party. We also have the ..uh, I'm not sure how to translate this.. the Left union, a major party which "identifies with socialism but resigns from "the totaliarism related to it".
I know we have a smattering of Socialist parties here and there, but how many countries actually have Socialism leading them?

I actually had a teacher say that Canada was the biggest country, and I never thought that it could be wrong until one of my friends told me Russia was, about 6 years later

I was spinning a globe during free time in second grade, looking at all the continents, when I suddenly realized that Africa and South America would fit together almost perfectly. It made me think about what my dad had said about earthquakes, so I went to my teacher and explained my theory: that once upon a time, the continents had all been together once, but earthquakes had broken them apart over time.

She said, "No, of course not," like it was ridiculous. Then she went on to say that the world had always been just the way it was, and would never change.

What the hell?
Jesus Christ. I'm from Ireland,and that's a stretch!

Me? I haven't really got any teachers that told me lies, I had a great teacher in Primary School.

Also, most of these "Socialist" parties are not very socialist at all.

Same thing happened to me back in primary school, except we were learning about how our planets revolve around the sun, and I said that maybe all solar system in the galaxy revolved around a really big star, she said that that was ridiculous, even though I wasn't far off, seeing as we all revolve around a supermassive blackhole.

I was taught that an Oblong that was an egg shape.

I tried to tell them they were wrong and that they were thinking of an OVAL.
(Oblong being a rectangle.)
But they insisted that they were right and told me not to speak out of place in the classroom.

Funny thing is, do an image search for Oblong in Google, seems I'm not the only person who got taught wrong.

Well, Norway at least is currently led by a coalition made up of the Workers Party, Socialist Left-Party, and the Centrist Party... That should count as Socialist...

Ah well, we had this lesson in science in... Freshman year of high school, they showed us a video about how the earth is flat. It was really just people trying to disprove experiments that were proving the earth's oblate spheroid shape, and a guy with an orange and a piece of paper. It was a joke, but I would consider it inaccurate.

"Communism is the rule of society by a single party which maintains a monopoly of political power and suppresses all opposition. Control of the economy via centralized bureaucratic planning."

Retards.

Dividing by zero is impossible.
Yeah, but getting a real number as a result is, you always end up with either positive infinity, negative infinity, or nothing at all, not zero, nothing, which is why precalc spend so much time teaching how to avoid zero's in the denominator of a limit, so that when you get to derivatives in calc, you know to divide out the "h" before taking the limit
[inyourface]

how about zerodivided by zero, by all logic that makes 1

Are talking about communism in practice or theory?

My Biology teacher this year is so full of crap.

"Computers WILL give you cancer if you use it enough." I'm still here and I've been doing it since I was 8.

Evolution wasn't even mentioned until I was in 8th grade last year, and it was only a 1 Day "Physical Science" lesson at that.

And that whole "Everyone thought Earth was flat back then" thing.

my history teacher is really sarcastic about American hatred of communists (although he believes large scale communism could not work due to human corruption). One time we were talking about Oneidan Communism and other forms of communism and he said "and of course, once we get to bigger communism like Russia- I'll be teaching you that communism is BAD, because that's my job as a US history teacher. Also, its ok to hate communists, they're not real people like us."

Later that day I brought by my commie friend- who sang him the USSR's national anthem IN PERFECT RUSSIAN

it was quite lulzy

One sub teacher said that kangaroos did not come from Australia but rather they came from Africa. The word Bullshit could be heard throught the entire school, apparently. It came from my mouth.

Not by ALL logic, since 0*1943939=0, 0/0=1943939, same with every other number, if this happens, you get a removable discontinuity, so y=NOTHING, y doesn't =0, y=nothing at all

not by ALL logic.

6/3 = 2

why?

because 3x2 = 6

now

0/0 = 5,541,586,321,548,455,999,620

because 0x5,541,586,321,548,455,999,620 = 0
