Posting here purely to agree whole-heartedly with this guy.

Have to third this guy - it was just a complete Hollywood cliche patriotic war film :/ Sure, they can be fun sometimes, but in no way, shape or form can it be considered 'great'

In the Metal Gear Solid series:

MGS1: The opening (since it immediately showcased the non-GC cutscene visuals of the game, which was pretty awesome in 1998)
The Twin Snakes: The fight with Gray Fox after beating Ocelot.
MGS2: The end of the tanker chapter.
MGS3: The bike chase (although most of it wasn't a cutscene)
MGS4: The microwave tunnel.


What also really blew my mind was the opening scene of Super Mario 64: "Holy shit! It's 3D!".
