There's this one plot hole in Assasins Creed II that really bugs me:
So, after Ezio stops Rodrigo Borgia from getting the Piece of Eden, we fast-foreward a few years in the Animus. Our faithful (if a bit douchy) British friend then suddenly realises that Borgio was a pope. So the expert historian just now realised that the main evil guy and head conspirator was once a POPE? I knew he was a pope from my 10th grade history class!

The original Fallout 3 ending:
Forcing the player to die or sacrifice lives even though there were two companions in the game that rendered this completely unnecessary thanks to their immunity to radiation.

Dead Space had a pretty unforgivable one.

If Isaac possessed any intelligence at all he could have just looked at the first letter of every chatper to see that "NICOLE IS DEAD" instead of being surprised by it later.
Fool.

I want to point out the entire plot of CoD:MW2.

Oh, example? Well, the catalyst for the invasion of America is the terrorist attack in a Russian airport where there was one American corpse..... Okay.

To think that Russian security was so lax there that they didn't check the cameras to see who else was involved, or that American intelligencia wouldn't be out there doing a massive CYA job to prevent such an invasion from happening by their fault is lowbrow thinking at its utmost.

The entire plot for Modern Warfare 2 was one big facepalm after another.

The only one I can think of is The Dark Knight (I know, it's not really gaming, whatever.)
As much as I love that movie, it's just littered with inconsistencies.
Why would Joker give two different versions of how he got his scars?
When would he find time rig two entire boats?
How can he join a soldier parade without anybody noticing the big lip scars?
Why is Batman taking the heat for Two-Face?
And most importantly: Why is defeating ten henchmen single-handedly more difficult then a single person with a knife? Or a dog, for that matter?

EDIT: I found a gaming-related one:
If Isaac's wife, from Dead Space, is a product of his imagination: HOW COULD SHE HAVE OPENED A DOOR FOR HIM VIA A COMPUTER NETWORK?!

Good point. Why is Russia going all out on the states because of one questionable piece of evidence? Unless the American had an "I was hired by the US government" T-shirt.

Well not really gaming, but with Citizen Kane:

No one would have been able to hear him say "Rosebud". He barely whispered it, there was no one around. Sure they could have heard the snowglobe break, but there is no way anyone could have heard him say "Rosebud".

As for a game:

Pretty much all of Modern Warfare 2.

He is trying to mess with peoples heads. It's what he does. Plus he isn't mentally stable, I would have thought that was obvious.

When would he find time rig two entire boats?
That's what Henchman are for.

How can he join a soldier parade without anybody noticing the big lip scars?
They had more important issues to deal with than identify every officer by face and considering the make-up he normally wore, the scars are not normally as obvious.

Why is Batman taking the heat for Two-Face?
He is a decent person, and by exposing Two Face, they'd show that the one politician everyone believed to be incorruptible is not. Seriously? They explained it extremely clearly when the police Chief's sun asks him that exact question.

And most importantly: Why is defeating ten henchmen single-handedly more difficult then a single person with a knife? Or a dog, for that matter?
He is only human, and dogs are a lot harder to deal with than humans when they are going for your throat.
Answers in bold.

Bioshock:
Dying causes you to be instantly revived in the nearest VitaChamber, because you are close enough to Andrew Ryan's genetic code and he can use VitaChambers. When he commits suicide-by-player, his personal VitaChamber in his office is off. Presumably this was to make the point that Ryan doesn't give a toss anymore because his city has gone to Hell and there's nothing to be done so he wants to die. However, the game spawns you in the closest nearby VitaChamber. Since that one was off it would just mean he would be routed to the next closest chamber. So obviously Ryan spawned in a chamber just outside his office, then ran away before shit hit the fan with Fontaine.

Tldr: science happened in Bioshock, Andrew Ryan is still alive...?

My question is: HOW THE HELL DID THE JOKER DO THAT? Ozymandias on a time machine couldn't have devised such a perfectly executed plan!

Heavy Rain. That's all I'm saying. If you've played it, you know what I'm talking about.

Pissed me off no end!

Okay, really? People STILL DONT GET IT?

Makarov is a TERRORIST FOR HIRE. Using American weapons and having an American body makes it look like the CIA funded and supported the "No Russian" terrorist attack (which the CIA is actually quite famous for, such as when the CIA supplied arms to Jihadists in Afghanistan during the Soviet occupation and death squads in South American countries.). Also, the Russian government is run by the Ultranationalists, the antagonists of CoD4.

Why would Joker give two different versions of how he got his scars?
Gonna answer this one, because I'm a comics dork. In the comic "The Killing Joke" (which was part of the inspiration for TDKs Joker), the Joker tells several people how he ended up the way he did, but there are inconsistencies in the stories. When this is pointed out, he replies by saying that he doesn't really remember all that well and he's not sure what he remembers at any given time is even at all accurate. So, basically, he's mental. Also, he seems to use it as a segueway into whatever point he's trying to make. Maybe it's just so the listener will pay more attention to find the connection?

EDIT: Right, so Legion answered this in a simpler and clearer way. Consider me overly verbose and redundant.

You're right about the others, but this one is still a plot hole, because it would have been just as easy to blame Two-Face's murders on the Joker without the side-effect of Batman getting hunted by the cops. It's a wonder why Commissioner Gordon didn't suggest that.

Another silly thing in the Dark Knight is that instead of simply telling or signalling to the SWAT team that the "clowns are hostages" during that big building fight scene, he dangles them all over the edge of a building. He could have just walked up to one of the ones standing at the window and unmasked him, and the snipers would have seen it and everything would have been good.

And MW2 has more plot holes than anything, ever. How did Captain Price trigger the nuke by himself? Why did a single American (found with a bullet through in his head) convince the Russians to invade America, when there was surveillance footage showcasing a known wanted Russian (Makarov)? In Cliffhanger, why did they pick an extraction point over a massive gorge? The list is endless.

That's a horrible ending, not a plot hole. Still a horrid, horrid ending though. Dammit, Bethesda.

Of course it is a plot hole. It makes no sense why it would happen, it goes against logic, therefore is a plot hole.

This 1000 times over!
This plot hole is so big it is insane. I even had fawks with me in the team, I wen "ha-ha" and talked to him. And then she says "I wont rob you from your destiny". WHAT THE FUCK?! You want me to get in and die while you can safely do this for me? And somehow the other human will strip me from my destiny if I pussy out.

This is the most lazy and just PLAIN STUPID ending in a game I have ever seen. Seriousy, bethesda prooved by it how much they care bout story. "Oh it should be touching and sacrifice hurr durr".

Disgusting. Especially in contrast to the first fallout where you could even talk the main boss into killing himself.

the police, batman, and everyone else is predictable. This is the main reason he could pull it off Everything on jokers plan relied on everyone behaving like they're supposed to, it failed at the end because the people did something unexpected from jokers point of view
