Basically this.
Also "tweet", when not used to refer to that thing birds do. Honestly, I burned a cardboard sign once just for having that word on it.

As a Muslim, I don't like being called "sand ******" or "towel head" or "camel jockey", especially since I am not an Arab and I don't like being automatically labeled as one just because of my beliefs. While I don't get mad and don't take it personally, it is still hard to stomach sometimes.

"Tranny"
It makes me want to twist the necks of them.
That's something that's always confused me, how is it a slur if it's a shortened version of the original word?
I mean that for both people that take offence to it and those that use it as a slur, it (to me) is like a guy called robert taking offence to being called Bobby.
I know that any word used as an insult long enough can leave a bad taste in your mouth (I still hate the word fat) but how did it get to be an insult in the first place?
Also, it meant transmission before it meant transsexual. That's language theft!

Most offensive phrase?

"Creationism should be taught side-by-side with evolution so the students can decide for themselves."

You can't pick and choose which science you wish to discredit just because you don't like it. Morons.
That may just be the most true statement ever made since man first said bacon was delicious.

Minge

It is a horrible word and I actually cringe when I hear someone say it.
Seconded. I don't mind anything else, but minge... just an awful word.

'****' is the most disgusting, vulgar, unecessary, and insulting word in the English language. And it's not just what it means (Which in itself is incredibly sexist), it's how it sounds; it sounds so sharp and venomous, I don't think you could possibly use it in a positive manner. Ever.

Actually it is when people always associate me with my brother he isn't famous or anything but he is rather popular around highschool so I always get stuff like:
"You are not like ____ at all!"
"Yo're ____'s brother?....wow"
"Haha you're soooooo different from your brother"
I am my own person for blimey's sake, it's even worse when they contact me looking only for him........like I keep tabs on my brother or something.

Make it stop! Make it stop!

Don't overly know what I would find most offensive but I suppose I'd know if someone said it.

"******"
Used in negative way of course. It's so demeaning and rarely do people that use it as a throw around insult understand it.
Oh and saying something is 'gay' I mean wth? How did Joy and happiness start meaning something completely different? When it was used injunction with homosexuals? That's a stupid reason

Probably... stupid. I love ****, it has such power and shock value; it makes an impact which I think is awesome and interesting. But being called stupid is just the worst. In fact any derogatory or patronising statement is the biggest insult to me. And one of my mates is constantly patronising me and everyone else around him... what a **** (see wut I did thar?)

I think the only word that truly offends me in when a vagina is referred to as a "gash". You throw the word splayed in front of it and strikes a nerve that rattles my body and churns my stomach.
I don't get offended by this, but someone I know uses this to describe something that is bad and it just sounds horrible, not offensive but for some reason my ears don't like it :/

Gay (as an insult). I myself am straight, but saying "gay" to someone is IMHO so utterly respectless, even when it's not directed at someone's sexuality. It's just said to be mean, and I really can't stand people who use a phrase just for the sake of being an asshole.

Whore... I have no idea why...

Also, I get offended when people refer to Chavs as being "Council estate kids" and such. It implies that anyone who lives on a Council estate most be some sort of Chav. Very classist, I live on a council estate and have done all my life and last I checked, I'm no Chav.

I'm not really offended all too easily.

But I like to get overdramatically angry if anyone calls me "chicken".
No body call me chicken...

Definitely the two most common forms of blasphemy. "Oh my God" and "Jesus Christ," you know? When people say that, it feels like they have no respect for MY values. I never go around saying "Charles Darwin is a cock," now do I?

It made me laugh once when I was called a "silly cockney ****", although it was probably the guy's accent (he pronounced it as caaant, because he was a pissed cockney).

I'd say that "scum" is the word I find most offensive, because of the way it gets spat out when it's pronounced and it's infrequent use.

Hmm...

"God will xxxxxxx", or "Believe in xxxxxxx" - in fact, just this so-called faith in general, but then, I'm like that.

As for my considered answer, if they truly believed what they said, and it wasn't a front I was showing them they were judging, but the real me, then it would have to be 'Average'. I... I just can't stand it, it's not the insult itself, more that my mind picks it up and runs with it:

You'll never get there.
You'll never see that.
You'll die before you ever know.
Your life is a short window, and when the shadow is drawn across your eyes at last, you will exist no more...

OT: I don't really find any words or phrases offensive, what might offend me is the context in which they are presented, not the words themselves. I won't let a word have such power over me.
If there was one ord I was sensitive to, though, it would be 'mustard'.
Yeah, weird, I know.
