Well, it's surprisingly hard to offend me. Offended failed at it, that should give you a rough idea...

There's only one thing I know of that offends me at the moment, and that's bisexual erasure [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bisexual_erasure].

R*pe. I cannot stand people who use this word for a joke, like the thing going around on facebook to "facebook r*pe someone" if people actually thought about what that word meant they'd realise it's one of the most heinous acts that exists.
It doesn't offend me as such, just brings back things I would rather forget.

I know this act happens to members of both sexual group, but I find it particularly disgusting to hear a woman say this word casually. It makes me cring and think "God if only you knew what that actually felt like."

EDIT : Just so you know, I don't shout people down about it. I'm not so small minded to think that I can change the way people talk or anything, but I do ask my friends not to say it around me for obvious reasons and they all know why. My real friends understand.

"What you don't know can't hurt you"
"There's no such thing as global warming"
I've never heard either of those phrases used seriously by anyone worthy of respect.

Whilst I'm fine with swearing, but hearing it used as puctuation can get annoying.

False, rape does not happen to both genders. Legally only a woman can be raped, when it happens to a male it is called sodomy. Definition rape!!

"You're watching ITV. Now for the X factor!"

Seriously though, just generally being treated with undue disrespect, espeically by people who then expect me to respect them.

Misuse of the term gay. More like a pet peeve, but it's the closet I can get other than fuck (also a pet peeve, and same reasons why.) Used in context and correctly, fine. If not, my opinion of the user is GREATLY lowered. "That shot was gay" How was that shot homosexual/erotic? I can take it as a joke (you shot at the balls/ass), but it's overuse seriously annoys me. Same with the f-bomb. Occasionally, fine. When it's the only adjective you use, go away.

I dislike words like "retard", "******" or "fag" which represent a bias against a certain group of people, even if I don't belong to that particular group. Especially when it's randomly used out of context on YouTube or something.

"That offends me" That's the most offensive thing because it's usually from someone who wants the majority to bend to the will of the minority who's offended.

Like people who whine about "offensive" stuff being said in youtube videos. Here's an idea, instead of trying to make this individual censor themselves YOU DON'T WATCH HIS VIDEOS.
This also counts as my answer. If people would have a bit of a "yeah, whatever" attitude towards shit like that, than the world would practically be at peace.

The "N" word.

And I especially hate it when Black People use it. "I can use it because I'm black!" That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. It's a word synonymous with oppression and racism, and you use it without even thinking. And it's even worse when white people use it; have we really forgotten that, only 50 years ago, people were flinging this word around as an insult? Now, we use it like a compliment almost. It's disgusting. Any person that uses that word deserves to be slapped in the face so hard, they strain their neck muscles.

Also, I've heard "Jew" being thrown around as an insult in my school. This IS 2010 in America, right? And not 1936 in Germany

And Misuse of the word "Gay". This is one of the main reasons I cringe at Yahtzee's videos. I've been called "Gay" several times because I act weird; While I am not opposed to the Idea of Homosexuality, I am straight. "Gay" has become synonymous. and interchangeable, with "Lame". Whoever uses gay in this context deserves a Swift kick in the crotch.

The mis-use of the word ironic. I always hear it. And it's not even at times where it's difficult. If something;s just kind of odd they say "it's so ironic".
Wow that's ironic.
OT:The only reall way I'd get offended is if some one absolutely railed against me using several deragotory words. Of course only if it was full of malice. Of course there was that one time a kid told my sister he wished all the Jews would catch swine flu and die. I damn near lynched him, but was able to control myself. People like that, that's what offends me.
your sisters a him? oh and i like your avatar, shogun is probably one of my favorite albums.

OT: I dont like being called a pussy. somthing about that word that gets beneath my skin.
for example, ive been called it for not going on fair ground rides or because i wouldn't display how 'macho' i am by touching an electric fence : /

Edit: i read that as "my kid sister said" my brain goes wierd towards midnight.

Any racial slurs towards a group you are not a member of yourself are not ok. Though the only one that hits at home for me are a term immigrants in sweden have for native swedes. "Svennar"

Also, anyone who badmouthes any kind of political views, religious faiths, musical/film/game taste. All people like or think what they like, as long as it doesn't hurt anyone you have no right talking shit about it.

I wouldn't say I'm easily offended, but one thing I can't stand at all, no matter what the context/circumstances, is when someone calls me out and hurls abuse at me because of my epilepsy.

To be honest only a couple of people have, but the last person who did seriously regretted it. Weirdly it was my dad, he called me an 'epy' and I went absolutely apeshit at him. I didn't hit him or anything but I made him feel about [sub]this small[/sub] by maliciously pointing out all of his flaws, admittedly I crossed the line when I compared his asthma to an accordion, and I did feel really bad about it later.
