Tie between getting my wisdom teeth removed and getting shot in the leg with a .357 (cause some dumbass didnt teach his kid gun safety before he took him to the range, the kid accidently shot me just above my ancle)
I'm getting my wisdom teeth out in a couple of months. I wish I hadn't read that.
Nothing that painful has ever really happened to me, but I new a guy who was fixing an electric fence when he got struck by lightning and thrown into a batch of nettles. He was also set on fire in a horrific motorbike accident.

Abscessed tooth. It might not sound that bad, but it was the most excruciating pain I have ever had to deal with. I was a bastard to be around for a good three days. The worst thing is laying down makes it so much worse, so sleeping is out of the question. Dark days indeed. Although when you compare it to getting shot by a Magnum?
I know, teeth are small, but they can piss you off when they are in pain, when I had my wisdom teeth removed, i got stitches in my mouth, I couldnt eat for 3 days, my bouls stopped moving because of the drugs they put me on, and I had to take 12 pills every day for the next 2 weeks.

Hahaha! I had my wisdom teeth removed last week. It does hurt like hell for a while. Although i could eat (not properly, nor solids, but slowly and sloppily) pretty much straight away? My tongue is still quite numb..maybe they hit a nerve =/. The lack of bowel movement IS quite annoying, And after painkillers you feel a little screwed up, heh.

I must have such a boring life, I haven't even been in the hospital for a serious injury ever. This stories are definitely making me flinch though.

[different person] Yeah my dad commited suicide as well, he was in constant pain. He broke his back on the ice a few years earlier, it chiped on of the bones that stick out the side, i can't remeber the real name. But he commited suicide in his car, he just drove off when i was 6 and never came back, they found the body the next day...

Now that I look back on it, I've escaped a ridiculous amount of pain on one occasion. A few months ago I was biking at around 20 mph, and for reasons I still don't understand, the bike decided to flip forward and send me over the handlebars. I hit the rough asphalt face first, then fell hard on my wrists. I looked over my shoulder as the back peg quickly arced around, heading directly for my temple. It somehow stopped dead about half a foot from the side of my head. I got up, dusted myself off, realized I was completely unharmed , picked up my bike and walked away. About a half hour later I thought about what could have happened and puked.

Out of recent memory, I got both arms and legs burned with some nasty burns while canoeing... Couldn't move for week or so and, even when it happened almost two years from now, I still can see the scars today.

how can you get burnt while about 1/4th of a meter away from a large body of water?

How'd you get burned while canoeing?

Were you canoeing in FIRE?
It was far easier than that... I just forgot to use sunblock. I spend two days canoeing, and start noticing the burns the next day after that.
Because I was unprotected for two days (not that I could do much once it started, I was in the middle of nowhere), and water doesn't really helps, all I could do was continue paddling until I reached civilization...
