Most pointless way you have died in a game

In 2142 our titan was being camped by 3 gunships so our team couldn't leave. So I get A SAAW and shoot one of them down, then get un a gunship and shoot down the two others.
They're all so pissed they leave (2 people per gunship= 6 people leaving) and the game ends due to lack of people.

Although I suppose that could have succeeded in the objective of inflating my ego.

Anytime Crysis thinks it can do physics too. Refidginator doors are famous even outside the Crysis community but you can murder yourself as well by opening a regular door from the wrong side, vehicles sploding after contacting twigs on the road or throwing an object at the ground at the correct angle, watching it vibrate for a few seconds and then launch itself into orbit at hypersonic speed in a random direction(4000mph according to sandbox2) taking out everything in it's path. I carved a path of destruction across an entire map with a plastic bottle, felling over 30 trees and completely wrecking multiple buildings.

Yah Crysis + Physics is fun, but can be stupid deadly. Same with Half Life 2 at times.

This thread brings up the thought of the video of Halo 3 of some guy throwing a grenade and getting killed when it launches a road cone right at his head, connects, and kills him. SUICIDE!

Dying to the Armadillo in NG2. Because it's so obvious that you block a thermonuclear explosion. I was so stupid.

Any Sierra adventure game that came out after Lucasarts first adventure. They didn't seem to get that curiosity may have killed the cat, but it shouldn't kill the player.

Sierra - "Eat grenade" You are now dead, please reload from your last save point.
Lucasart - "Eat grenade" Boom, your head leaves your body and your body travels back a couple of screens to find and reattach the very heavily charred head, and then deliver a short monologue about how he'll never do that again and luckily he has a spare grenade in his other pants.

once wile i was playing f.e.a.r i was running towards the enemies flag so i threw a granade at a rilly high angle so after i threw it i kept running and just as i was about to grab the flag my granade fell back on me killing me.

o and another one a wile ago i was playing resident evil 4 and i dident have much helth left and i shot some guys head off and he stagged tword me with no head and i dident think he could do anything but to my suprise he suplexed me killing me

I wasing playing Crysis and just killed pretty much everyone in the area withh 2 ammo of the missile launcher to spare. 10 sec later, I see another launcher, so I shot the 2 missiles in the air as kinda a "celebratory" salute and to pick up the ammo(u can't "refill" missile launchers in crysis). Then i looked down to pick up the new launcher.

The missiles were laser guided and i died save.

Grand Theft Auto San Andreas: I enabled "Cars Can Fly" and took off. At one point I exited my vehical and started plummeting...I soon realized I forgot to also enable the parachute cheat...

Halo: I jumped off a bridge to keep someone from getting credited for killing me

Assassins Creed: Anytime I touched water...

Saints Row: Driving on the freeway, I shot an oil tanker for shits n giggles which caused him to get scared and drive like a maniac to get away...He did enough damage which caused him to blow up with me driving right next to him, which not only blew up my car, but ejected me at a 45 degree angle into the sky on fire...off a bridge...I was dead before I hit water though...

The second to last level in halo on legendary, I had a rocket launcher and a pistol went the wrong way and looked through a crack in the wall to see a hunter waiting for me if i had gone the "right" way. I pulled out my launcher to fire it when a tiny little flood decides to maul me jumping right into my rocket
killing me instantly
I spawned and did it agian 3 more times.

I had just gotten past a difficult part of Resistance and was almost done but I saw an exploding barrel outside on a balcony. For some stupid reason I fired at it while standing on the balcony and blew myself to kingdom come.Actually it blew me back to the beginning of the difficult level.

In Haunting Ground (Dementium) I'd reached the roof of a building, when Fatty McDumbnuts (Debilitas) came up the ladder and started chasing me. I forgot where the ladder was to go back down, so I ran in circles around the roof till Deb beat me in the face enough to kill me. =P I passed the ladder around 6 times, but couldn't see it since it blended with the wall. -.-'

Ok, no joke this happened. I was playing a hardcore team deathmatch in Call of Duty 4 in Crossfire, I was about to knife one of the sniper, and right after I knife him a get killed by one of my sniper teammates, he was aiming at the same person and I knifed the person right as he shot his bullet.

Hotel Dusk. There was the time I told the kid that her dad was laughing at her because he's stupid. That depressed my character very much, he went back to his room and moped until I got game over.

Then when I suffocated in the room during the last level.

I enjoyed that game a lot.

I was playing Halo 3 co-op campaign, in the part of The Covenant where you get a Hornet, and two Scarabs drop in. Since I was playing with a friend, we decided to do things a little differently. I got on the Hornet jump seat, and told him to go over to the Scarab, and let me jump of. Of course to do things with style, I had to have at least 50 feet of free fall. Unfortunately, the Hornet was a little bit too high, and so I hit the death barrier about 3 feet before landing on top of the scarab.
