MadWorld
Red Faction: Guerrilla
Halo in the library level was repetitive enough to make me despise the entire series... wait... let me change that... the Halo series... they are all pretty much the same exact thing again. The second even started the same exact way as the first...

You've all got it wrong! There is nothing more repetitive than rhythm games. I mean, the songs will never, ever, ever change. Whichs means you will do, literally, the same thing over and over again until you mastered that special song you wanted to master.

is it strange that no ones mentioned anything besides animal crossing from nintendo? mario, zelda, metroid, pokemon, everything is the same, ESPECIALLY MARIO peach gets captured by bowser and mario must save her but all he wants to do is get laid but peach is to much of a dumb ***** to get the idea, so she just ggoes home without locking the door and gets captured by bowser the next morning while getting up to have her cold coffee, cause if she had hot coffee shed burn herself

Spiderman Web of Shadows felt like the same thing over and over and over and over... but web slinging will never lose its appeal.

Alan Wake on multiple levels.

The environment: "Spooky" forest for 15mins, civilization for 1min, "Spooky forest for 15mins, civilization 1min then repeat.

The enemies: Bad guys, blind, aim, shoot. More bad guys, blind, aim, shoot. Rinse and repeat if desired.

Excluding level grinding on certain games, Devil May Cry 4.
Nero goes up the stairs, Dante comes down. Which is a shame, because it's an awesome franchise.

Mass Effect 2. Cover, Shoot, Cover, Shoot, Cover, Shoot, Repeat. I'm only playing it for the story and character interactions at this point.

Every Final Fantasy game. They all start good, then go straight to the shitter.
In my opinion, since FFVII, Final Fantasy has become the most overrated franchise in the history of gaming.

I'm having difficulty deciding whether it's Final Fantasy VII or Max Payne for me.
It's either a string of dull, non-sensical turn-based fights that boil down to "use strongest attack until death" or it's a string of dull, chaotic gunfights who all meld into eachother, neither case providing any real explanaton of what's happening or motivation to keep fighting.
Meh, maybe I wasn't paying attention, but they're still my picks.

Pretty much every command and conquer game in skirmish or multiplayer (barring C&C4), powerplant -> harvester -> barracks -> war factory -> tech building .... and so on, so formulaic every time, but I guess that was kinda the point, still fun I grant you, just surprised me when I actualy thought about it once that every game evolved in roughly the same way with the only variable being who got thier biggest units in the biggest numbers out of the gate first
