That the Westborough Baptist Church is not a real church full of wackos, but a group of lawyers masquerading as a church in order to stir up hostility over sensitive topics, and therefore unleashing a slew of lawsuits to the police, city and anyone else involved in order to make a dollar.

Oh wait that might be true.

I'll go with the 9/11 bandwagon, along with the Moon Landing (Myth Busters FTW!) Finally I'll have a side of 2012.

EDIT: Oh yeah, how can I forget these

My one, told by a friend of mine:

Dinosuars were invented by the CIA, in order to discourage time travel.
Can't get stranger than that

I still think that my mother's belief of the government being able to control the weather are rather out there, but hell, Jesse Ventura believes it, too...

The moon is made of cheese... Oh wait that was Walice and Gromit...

Actually, they've been thinking that before Walice and Gromit but it's less conspiricy theory, more silly fact.

Ok, keeping with the moon, the whole 'the moon landing was fake' thing is a load of rubbish. I mean, we didn't just go there once y'know! And what, we can biuld satalites, radio telescopes in space and the international space station but we missed out the step before, the whole, going to the moon stuff? Gimme a break...

Sorry, I get a bit grumpy about daft things like this.

My grandmother claims that ever since Obama got elected president the blacks are taking over the country and will enslave the Whites... her proof was the fact that there were so many programs with blacks on the television now.

One night she was complaining for hours about the blacks on television now, I looked up and saw that she was on BET and just facepalmed and went back to playing Borderlands.

However, she will deny up and down that she is racist if someone asks, even if nobody else is around.

As she gets older she gets weirder and weirder, both my Aunt and I believe she needs a psych eval and needs to be tested for dementia because her mother suffers from Alzheimer's disease and is somewhere between Stage 5 and Stage 6. She absolutely refuses though and starts screaming and threatening us if we even bring it up.

I think this is possibly one of the craziest guys on YouTube:

He believes that something like 1 in 5 people are part of the conspiracy, which involves some crazy mishmash of lizard people, illuminati, twisted Christianity, Paganism and a whole bunch of other things.

He has a couple of videos where he goes around finding hidden symbols in certain landmarks around London. The problem is, 2 of the symbols he considers to be signs of this conspiracy are the circle (something to do with the illuminati Eye or sun worship) and the triangle (the illuminati pyramid). You know... 2 of the most common shapes in the universe.

Another view that I enjoy is that of Alan Moore, who does to some extent believe that there are some of these hidden societies, he just finds the idea of them all working together ludicrous.

that the united states is a democracy and not a corporatist oligarchy.

i mean come on, lobby groups? you can buy laws ?!?! are you kidding?
I totally agree.
It's the same in Britain.
The most powerful lobbyists just happen to be the most powerful businesses

That George W. Bush masterminded a plot to fly aircraft into the World Trade Center in order to "have an excuse" to invade Afghanistan for the oil (protip: it doesn't have any, and no one wants to run a pipeline through the place from anywhere else that has oil either, because the country is too f***ing unstable..go figure).

Or, for that matter, the notion that George W. Bush masterminded ANYTHING.

9/11 was an inside job isn't that crazy. An inside job using satellite based weapons, or mini-nukes...that's crazy

My favourite is the one about Lady Gaga being a hermaphorite (which is what "bisexual" means) because her parents were related (which is how you get hermaphrodites) cause she's part of the secret breeding program to create the next generation of singers. I dunno if that one includes the stuff about her being an Illumaniti puppet, but it's sorta cool.
Uhm... hermaphrodite means that someone has both female and male sex organs, and is due to problems with the SRY-gene in men and a X-chromosome deviation in women (this happens early in the fetal stage).

There's too many crazy conspiracy theories out there to pick just one. The one I've heard with CIA preparing for 2012 by building bunkers that will keep them safe is probably the stupidest though.
