Have you ever found a health item in a game that you thought wasn't the least bit plausible?

For me, the painkillers in Max Payne. I mean you don't even heal yourself, you just pop some painkillers into his mouth and continue on. At the end of the game, Max may have about a thousand bullets in his body, not to mention he took a magnum fired at his head and fell off of a building, but as long as he doesn't feel the pain, he's as right as rain. God bless pain relief medicine.

In Tekken 6 all the health items are chicken themed. The small health item is an egg, the medium health item is a chick, and the biggest health item a fullgrown chicken. It's silly. And a little strange. Maybe it's explained in one of the earlier Tekken games, but I must say I was certainly confused as to why I was using chickens to heal myself.

The grass from Demon's Souls. it LOOKS like you've ripped a piece of lawn off the nearest property and stored it in your back pack...

It don't have to be plausible, health is health.

...I'll say, the sandvich, it's a actual sandwich that heals the heavy and his team mates.

Oh that?

It's a shoutout to Tekken 3, where in the sie scroller beat em up, the only way to heal was eating a roast chicken.

Basically ever food item in the game. Yes I know it can help not felling pain or to cure illness, but what has food have to do with the protagonist getting bludgeon, cut and shot into infinity?

I've never really understood how in video games, things like food items can instantly heal bullet wounds, internal bleeding, etc.

I like the health items in Bioshock, cigarettes, they lower your health slightly, but they give you Eve, so all is good.

And is SSBB, isn't there tons of random crap in that that lower your damage percentage thing. Random slices of cake etc.

Hearts, like in LoZ. How do you recover from a grievous injury? Just rip some guy's heart out apparently.

Yeah it's kinda weird how eating can actually heal sword slashes or bullets in you flesh, like the mutton in Castlevania or the meals in Return to Castle Wolfenstien.

Oddly enough there are HEARTS in Castlevania, but they don't heal. They're used as ammo, or even sometimes (like in Simon's Quest) as money.

Conker's Bad Fur Day - chocolate bar. The whole game's a messed up cartoon, so I guess I can't really complain... but chocolate?
