The ending of Prince of Persia (Newest) is a big twist and also takes the title as the most irritating and most retarded plot twist ever, for a start it actually makes the whole game completely redundant.
A thousand times YES.
I have never been so angry at an ending in all my life.

"Hi, Im the Prince of Persia, thanks for spending 6 hours guiding me through this repetitive environment, but unfortunately Im going to undo THE WHOLE FUCKING STORY to save a woman I have known for ONE DAY. Even if this means fucking up the whole world. The end."

Spoiler alert lol.

And just to put the icing on this piece of turd he trying to pursuade us is cake, the woman he saves isn't even a remotely bit likable.

They should give you a choice at the beginning:

"Follow strange princess into desert"
OR
"Continue looking for donkey, get money and hire hookers".

Because either way, the ending is going to be the same, and I know which game I would rather play.

My wife = My arm. The pain, the pain.

For ridiculously good? Second Sight, I loved how all fell into place afterwards. It also made me happy that a couple characters died... but didn't really.

Blood Elves joining the Horde.

Kael'thas joining up with the Burning Legion

Varian Wrynn turning out to be a Super Saiyan. (Or i'm assuming thats what he is, a badly drawn anime character with the ability to kill everything in one hit, who screams alot.)
The Draeni crashing a giant spaceship into Azeroth.

Seroiously though, what is the deal with Varian? First he was held captive as part of an unresolved quest chain, then he magically escaped and disappeared with no explanation, then suddenly reappeared with newly dyed anime hair.

Use the search bar [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/9.55339#403652]

The plot twist in which one of your allies betrays you. These are usually the worst plot twists because it is painfully obvious that your ally was going to betray you.
You've got to be joking. That thread is from March of last year. I'd say that's plenty of excusable time before repeating an idea.
And that is a problem because........?

Just because a thread is old does not mean it is no longer valid. I find fault with your logic.
Because after a year we'll have many new members, as well as opinion changes from people. The only reason people should cry 'Search bar' is when the thread has been done to death, or at least several times in a short amount of time. Not when a similar idea was thought up over a year ago. I did not say the old thread was no longer valid, it's just that it's, well, old. Buried deep in the forum index. This way the idea is being put back on the homepage.

Probably the one in FFVIII where it turns out that

Everybody grew up together but forgot because of GFs. That was utterly ridiculous in my eyes

So? People can post in a thread more than once or edit their original post. Nothing is stopping new members from posting in old threads.

I noticed you snipped off the part that would answer what you just said. New members are much more likely to see a thread being presented to them on the front page than going skulking deep into the archives, particularly if they're still getting their heads around the site.

If that last part was supposed to answer that, then it did so rather poorly.

A new member is perfectly capable of using the search bar.

But answered it nontheless. No need to crack out the snide comments just because of a misunderstanding. Whether they're capable or not, this isn't about new members using the search bar. It's about a zealous enforcement of using it even on ideas that were done over a year ago and are perfectly reasonable to re-use because new members aren't exactly going to go looking for threads from last year.

Are you saying that new members intentionally avoid a thread from last year?

Because I seriously doubt that. If a thread is on the front page people post in it. I don't see why you are so fixated on the date of the thread.

Bottom line, we have the search bar for a reason. So use the search bar. There is no reason not to use it other than to be lazy.

Ooh, you sneaky man, making me think this'd been forgotten.

No, that's absolutely not what I'm saying. What I'm saying, yet again I suppose, is that a new member will most likely be settling in and looking at the threads on the front page, not delving into threads from last year. However that second part is what I've been saying all along. People post in threads they see on the front page, not hidden in the archives. Keep this thing going in one direction, mmmkay?
If the search bar yields only 1 similar result which is from over a year ago, then you've done your part and it's perfectly reasonable to use the topic.

Okay, I still don't see what your point it.

A new member who wants to make a thread can still use the search bar. They can still search for topics and post in them, even if they are over a year old.

Yes, people post on threads on the front page. But if you post in an old thread, it gets bumped to the first page. So you don't have to dig through archives to post in an old thread.

How we just drop this discussion altogether? It has gone on long enough and drawn attention away from the actual thread.
