Actually I believe its now the equalizer, since I've seen it do up to 440 damage off a critical hit. I have never instant gibed a heavy with a critical rocket it always takes two to three for one to die depending on my aim.No-Superman10 said:Strange that...whenever i play as the heavy and get hit by ANY rocket crit or not even when overhealed i get instagibbed.Caliostro said:Wrong. A critical rocket does 270 damage, thus it can't even one-hit-kill a fully overhealed Soldier (300 health). It also can't one-hit-kill a Heavy at max health (300 health), let alone an overhealed one (450 health).No-Superman10 said:Team fortress 2: the Critical rocket (Crocket) that beast can gib even an overhealed heavy.
Not even a critical "direct hit" (338 damage) can one-hit-kill a fully overhealed heavy (450 hp).
Also, FYI, the highest "critical hit", barring knife backstabs and sniper headshots, belongs to the Demo. Sticky crits do 353 damage. STILL not enough to one-hit an overhealed heavy, but higher than even a critical "direct hit".
Fail.
And, to be fair, if you're shooting at the Heavy in a Medic/Heavy situation, you're making the biggest mistake of all. I've always gone after the Medic first. The Heavy crumbles FAST after he's gone. That's what I've found after a couple hundred hours playing as the Soldier, anyway.Karina Ferrer said:Actually I believe its now the equalizer, since I've seen it do up to 440 damage off a critical hit. Yeah I understand that I have a few hundred hours as soldier, I'm an excellent medic killer. I was just stating what I know.MaxPower2003 said:And, to be fair, if you're shooting at the Heavy in a Medic/Heavy situation, you're making the biggest mistake of all. I can assure you, you werent. I kind of hoped this perception would die when they put in damage amount indicators but I guess you dont play soldier.No-Superman10 said:you when you dont seeCaliostro said:Wrong. But it doesn't work against quite a few types of enemies.Siuki said:The Combustion Hellfire in Borderlands. Its an SMG that instantly sets fire to the thing you shoot it at.
