Master of Orion 2: Stellar (solar?) Converters.

Ship-mounted weapons used to literally slice planets into asteroid belts. Effectively removed the ground war part of conquering the galaxy.

The nuke in MW2... using it makes you win. it can't be mroe powerfull, only if it was insta win and didn't have the few seconds delay the nuke has.

Apart from that, i'm thinking most stuff from the worms series... armageddon anyone? concrete donkey perhaps?

As far as i know, the doomsday devices in EVE used to obliterate more or less everything in a huge radius when they were fired.

Or perhaps the gun from department store mod for battlefield 2, where you had a pistol that fired artillery strikes.

The Tactical Nuke. Game over, man! GAME OVER!

And a round of applause please for the Holy Hand Grenade, Bananna Bomb, Concrete Donkey and Armageddon from the Worms games. Oh, and dual Rocket Launchers in TimeSplitters (and I *think* it also had dual Miniguns. Fun)

Also, the Cerebal Bore from Turok 2.

Special award for Rocket Launchers: Unreal Tournament 1. Getting one rocket in the face is bad enough, however standing in the way of six in formation is a good way to get gibbed.

Team fortress 2: the Critical rocket (Crocket) that beast can gib even an overhealed heavy.
Wrong. A critical rocket does 270 damage, thus it can't even one-hit-kill a fully overhealed Soldier (300 health). It also can't one-hit-kill a Heavy at max health (300 health), let alone an overhealed one (450 health).

Not even a critical "direct hit" (338 damage) can one-hit-kill a fully overhealed heavy (450 hp).

Also, FYI, the highest "critical hit", barring knife backstabs and sniper headshots, belongs to the Demo. Sticky crits do 353 damage. STILL not enough to one-hit an overhealed heavy, but higher than even a critical "direct hit".

Fail.
Strange that...whenever i play as the heavy and get hit by ANY rocket crit or not even when overhealed i get instagibbed.
Actually I believe its now the equalizer, since I've seen it do up to 440 damage off a critical hit. I have never instant gibed a heavy with a critical rocket it always takes two to three for one to die depending on my aim.

COD MW2s grenade launcher.
If it hits you from close range you die from the impact
If it hits you from far range it explodes and you die
If it hits anywhere within 5 feet of you it explodes and you die

It would be fine if its flight arc wasnt so straight but its just a death machine now. Not to mention that there is a Grenade launcher weapon to go along with the attachment, giving someone 4 almost guaranteed kills.

And, to be fair, if you're shooting at the Heavy in a Medic/Heavy situation, you're making the biggest mistake of all. I've always gone after the Medic first. The Heavy crumbles FAST after he's gone. That's what I've found after a couple hundred hours playing as the Soldier, anyway.

Yeah I understand that I have a few hundred hours as soldier, I'm an excellent medic killer. I was just stating what I know.

I can assure you, you werent. I kind of hoped this perception would die when they put in damage amount indicators but I guess you dont play soldier.

One big problem with TF2 is that it doesnt always inform you of how exactly you died. The assist system is pretty awful in giving credit, i have lost count of the number of times ive but serious damage into someone only to be given no assist. Its so easy to blame your death entirely on that glowing blue thing hypnotising you when something damages you at the same time.

That said its very easy to fire off two rockets before a heavy has seen you and you will die if one is a crit.

The Cain is Mass Effect 2. One shot could almost single handedly take out the Reaper. When that radioactive superbeast goes off like a hailstorm of pwn.

Other than that, the Combine Assault Rifle in Half Life 2, every other gun was my bottom *****.

Not really a weapon but oblivion 100% Chameleon enchanted armour. Nothing will even know you are there even if you attack them.

But it doesn't work against quite a few types of enemies.

OT: The Monster's homing missiles in the latest Borderlands DLC. Lock on and hold fire. Everything dies.

That thing'll kill you with one shot no matter where you hit.
Not in the leg, that takes you down to 17 HP I do believe.
Yay, I 17 HP left in a game where there are no ways at all to refill HP! Whopee!

Doomsday devices in EVE

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pseIw7yGB20&feature=fvw

(That ship is nearly 14km long!)

'Doomsday weapons are by far the most powerful weapons in the game, doing a base damage of 37,500 HP, before skill bonus, within an area of effect. Regardless of type, this much damage is usually sufficient to destroy a battleship instantly, allowing titans to effectively wipe out an entire enemy force in a single attack.'
