Lirum's Death in Lost Odyssey:

Her entire screen-time is below, so you don't feel attached to her - in fact you think she is already dead, she rarely comes into conversation and is only really seen in Kaim's memories, and yet the scene is incredibly depressing none-the-less. I've not added spoiler tags because it has no massive plot relevance but I'm leaving out another for that reason.

while Gaz´ death was the only video game death that ever made me cry, at least it was a clean kill, 2 words that Shepard never heard about in his fucking patriotic piece of petty he calls the SEALs.

Roach and Ghost´s deaths came to a far bigger suprise for me, not getting me to tears, but me making swear high and loudly "OI!!!" Yahtzee´s Uncle Sam style.

the worst part about it? the end of it (incineration) could be used in fucking Mortal Kombat, AND ROACH IS STILL ALIVE AT THAT POINT!.

Granted, when I was doing his missions, I kept thinking "I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I HATE YOOOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUUkillyouwithfire..."

Then Elizabeta shot him in the face while being high, prompting me to say "Whoa! I didn't actually want him to die. Not like that, anyway."

It actually was pretty sad when I had to deliver his body to a street surgeon. I felt sorry for him.

Then I hung out with my cousin and all was forgotten.

I agree with Aeris Gainsborough, but I think that the protagonist died so many times in MW2, it almost became regular.

I think Kerrigan in Starcraft was pretty surprising. I was like; "NOES".

I'm talking about James' wife Mary, of course. True, she's obviously dead throughout the whole game, but it's how she died in the first place, that has a huge impact on the story. Well, it's actually the whole point of the story, because in retrospective it explains everything that has happened in the game.

Aeris' death was pretty damned tragic. I cried, but then again...I didn't watch the whole of Liar Liar I just saw the last 10 minutes knowing nothing about the filmed and I cried into my girlfriend's arms to which she of course, was confused. Maybe I have Daddy issues...
