Most terrifying fictional world to live in?

While it's not the worst by a long shot, the Yu-Gi-Oh universe (especially uncencored)is pretty damn scary. Especially if you're not into card games. Becasue you know what? Out of the blue you are challenged to a duel, and if you lose you're lucky if you get to keep your soul. Oh yeah, and the oponent always cheats.

Try to live an hour and a half in the Capital Wastes with all of those respawning Super Mutant Masters! Nah I mean seriously, try it.

Was pretty difficult wasn't it? That is why you stay in Megaton.

Until some jackass decides to to activate the atomic bomb sitting smack in the middle of the town for a free room in some hotel.

I'm pretty much with you. The wastelands of Fallout 3 would be the absolute worst. Even if you could avoid the dangers of super mutants and raiders, there's the constant threat of starvation and radiation poisoning.

The world of Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni, you could be murdered by the same person you once called a friend the day before. Or you could be the killer yourself, all thanks to Oyashiro's curse. Which can also make you insane and parnoid, you might even claw your own throat out.

Also could you imagine being an enemy grunt in the world of God Of War, or anybody in God of War for that matter.

Clearly has to be Resident Evil! Can you imagine how hard it is getting into your office/lab every day? And the fixed camera angles! I'm pretty jumpy so having EVERYONE sneak up on me could be hell!! Oh and at some point everything's going to hit the fan! Always does!!

Dontcha mean how you've gotta find the four animal puzzle pieces to unlock the front door and the skeleton key to unlock your office, then solve an equation to stop the zombies from getting in?

Dude, the real world is scary enough. We got enough to contend with, without having to worry about mutants or aliens or great old ones.

This, but then again its not so bad when you're drunk/high or god knows what else.

1984 in general was one of the most terrifying books I have ever read, so the idea of having to live within the fictional world of the novel makes me crap myself with fear.

Living in perpetual loneliness as the only human in the world constantly hiding from the horrors of the night waiting for the sun to rise and when you finally die you are brought back to life to experience it all over again.

Oceania would be quite terrifying to live in as it is quite believable.

Not to mention the existential questions like "where do I come from" and "how do I make more of me" and "Hellooo Ladi....wait..oohhhh"

if any of us lived in the 40K universe, we wouldn't be the ones who couldn't die. We'd just get sacrificed and be done with it.

That's the thing with everyone saying 40K that irks me. You'll just die there, and you'll be dead. A perpetual nightmare, something along the lines of Minecraft and "I have No Mouth And I Must Scream" is much, much worse.

That's true and it's why I didn't pick it, but the idea is that you'll live your entire life in panic and fear and sometimes that's worse than anything actually happening to you.

See, the thing with both Minecraft and especially "I have No Mouth And I Must Scream" is that you live in panic and fear, and things will happen to you.
