The summon monsters in various FF games were useless. Most notably FF12 and all of them before 7.

Did anyone really use the 10mm pistol in Fallout 3 at all after getting another weapon? Compared to most other guns, it's a pea shooter.
I did for a while . . . then I found my first .44, and that was the end of that.

Spam the small guns skill. VATS headshot. 1 hit kill on almost everything every time. The ammo is super cheap, and that's when you aren't finding bucket loads of it everywhere. I highly disagree with your statement, if played right it's a game breaker.
How though? I don't understand. Even with 100 in Small Guns, and all the accompanying perks making it better, it still took me 3 to 4 shots to the head to kill even common enemies, compared to one shot with practically any other weapon. I could see if you were talking about the 10mm Submachine Gun, that would be different.

Were you playing on easy or something? Using mods? Please elaborate.
If you max out stealth and have the chinese commando suit and the silenced version you can clear out rooms without being seen.

the fucking fan in super smash.god that thing is a p.o.s.
It's actually at its best when fighting in the multi-man brawls against the polygon wo/men. In those events, the fan is a one-hit-kill, and will bounce in the air and kill anyone else on its way back down. Which can create massive chain-killing if the fan is right above a spawn point.

Hermes' Boots in God of War 3. Apart from when you need to do a wall-run to advance, it has no use whatsoever. I've not once used it in combat, and you move faster just by rolling.

Half a class's spells in ANY MMO,

Half the spells you get in an RPG,

And now that I think of it, in almost any game with attacks only half of them will be useful

Half the classes in ALL of the FF Tactics,

And to end with, every item you get in a Legend of Zelda dungeon (save for the Bow) will be doomed to only be used for that dungeon, maybe for a bit of the next dungeon, and usually NEVER again.

The .32 caliber pistol in Fallout 3 is utterly useless. It's less effective in every way when compared to a Hunting Rifle, and to top it off, it's less common too.

Mini-games in general...if they aren't part of the plot I never bother with them.
you don't call the ATM machines a mini-game, do you? in fact in GTA IV I did nearly everything and I also enjoyed all those gimmicks, as I'd call them. But the ATM machines were really useless, so I second that.
But I loved just sitting in the appartment and watching the tv shows for example.

in UT3 I never used the Impact Hammer. Not the right game for melee weapons I guess cause when you are that close to the enemy there's no time for switching weapons. But there will be the time I'm trying to use it. Some day. I guess :)

The dominion rod in Twilight princess stands out as the least-useful-outside-of-really-specific-circumstances-where-you-need-to-advance weapon. It moved statues, which is all well and good, but outside of the few statues (which you could count on one hand) in the one dungeon you get it, it has no use at all. It sticks out like a sore thumb when nearly everything else has some sort of functionality in combat or traversing in different ways. The double clawshot felt like a gimmick too, they weren't really trying on those last few dungerons (for weapons at least). The last thing you get is something that makes your sword shiny, and do more damage. But only in that one specific part of the game again. Yay, I guess?
But, isn't that sort of what happens with almost every item you get in nearly every Zelda game? I actually didn't mind never using the dominion rod again because I think they used it enough in that one temple, and in the coolest possible way. That being said, I do agree that most Zelda items you get late in a game are usually huge letdowns.

Also, I never really liked the gun you get near the end of Assassin's Creed II; it was only slightly stronger than the throwing knives, and was way less accurate. Plus, it took time to aim, and the throwing knives would just lock on and let you throw away. The poison tip on your blades was also pretty useless, essentially doing the same thing as the normal hidden blades, but taking longer and potentially causing you harm.

Actually, I used that gun a LOT. It was nice cause you could find ammo relatively easy, so I always used it so that I could conserve on my hunting rifle ammo.

Oh found another one:

The peeking around corners /leaning option (Q,E). Never used it in any game
(apart from the first time I tried it)
