I see a lot of people mentioning the items worth 0 caps in Fallout 3, but think about it if you got rid of every single one of those items you'd only be left with weapons, armour and food and stuff. Those items worth 0 caps add to the fact that it's a post apocalyptic wasteland, somethings will be useful, some will not the same thing applies with Oblivion, I'm pretty sure they had more things than armour weapons, arrows and paintbrushes back then people.

Oh plus you can use all of that worthless crap in Fallout 3 as ammo for your Rock-it Launcher

Funny that the muscle-mass strategy (on my lvl 1 form with 0 other upgrades) worked for me first shot last boss hardest difficulty, as opposed to trying to time slices on him or anything else, so I just threw stuff at him repeatedly.

I would say the blades become obsolete within 30mins of the game as everything else beats it BY FAR.

Sniper rifle in L4D. Seriously. It's not even that effective xP.
Also double handed weapons in first Neverwinter Night's game. Dang it has awesome damage but what good it is if you CANT HIT WITH THE DAMN THING.
sniper rifle is awsome, you can shoot tho any number of reg zombies and if your a good shot its great for killing special, altho it is pretty worthless on tanks

That perk was made for Cops and Robbers. (if you haven't played that, get out COD 4 right now and make a lobby, look online for rules) It was useful until the NXE launch which included party chat.

ANY ability to make a house in an offline game, and most online as well. I mean really, WTF. Yeah, lets spend hours and hours, as well as thousands of in game money to build a f***ing house with cool furniture. Like in Runes of Magic. Animal Crossing and maybe Sims are the ONLY games where I would even consider buying crap for a house. YOU DON'T EVEN LIVE IN IT!!!

Poison in Assassins creed 2, never ever ever used it
It's so funny when used on someone though!
D: Why would you call it useless? WHY?! WHHHHY....

OnTopic:
Probably the water gun in Dead Rising.
I don't know why I still pick it up though.

Deku Nuts. Played the games several times and still never needed them for anything. Pay money to upgrade my capacity? No thanks....
Some people use 'em. Personally, I like the fact that the "most useless item in the game", which is supposed to stun enemies, can DAMAGE Ganon.

...You can't make this shit up, they actually hurt him.

OT: Giant's Knife from OoT. You spend 200 Rupees for something that breaks if a Lizalfos so much as sneezes on it. The "best" durability you can get is around 8 swings, which you don't get until you've bought at least 4 of the damn things. I'd much rather go through a trading quest with timers to get one that won't break.

Thats completely true. Instead of getting behind cover when my health was down, I just ran into a group of enemies so i could blast one and get back up.

The transmitter from Metal Gear. Until you get rid of it, it will set off the alarm in every room.

Edit: To avoid confusion, this is the North American version for NES.

Ouch... thats brutal

OT:
BB gun in Fallout 3, only ever used to kill one radroach, then soldoff quickly.
Hell no! I kept it at 100% and got 100 Small Guns and it was a decent weapon. Admittedly by that point every other Small Gun had surpassed it, but it was still doing like 25 Damage, what with Bloody Mess and Damage Enhancers.

Another one... the power bomb expansion (Metroid Prime 1&2)! I've only ever used a power bomb in combat once, every other time was to open a blockage. Who needs 8 power bombs anyway?

This. I've made classes with that perk because I thought I could hear the enemy yell reloading, grenade etc. I mean wtf, why doesn't it work like that? Would be useful.
No one ever voicechats in the PC version anywho.
Yeah, exactly. Maybe if it was in the console version it'd have some use, but even then, there are more useful perks you could have in that slot.

I don't know about useless but certainly being a douche bag is very popular in that game.

Yet one of my favorite weapons.

I loved killing people with that.

The only thing more satisfying for me was Dual Wielding DD44 Destovie-TT33 Tokarevs.

Silver and loud. Oh yeaaaaah.

Sure they sucked but it was about the presentation.

The Klobb had weak power, relatively average firing speed for a SMG, and terrible accuracy. Overall, it was a terrible choice. But, I still don't argue with you.
I think the Shotguns in Goldeneye N64 were actually the worst. Terrible power for their accuracy, which was highly over-exaggerated for a shotgun, and one shotgun (they had auto and normal, and neither works) wasn't even included in the game.
Oh, yeah, there's also the Elevated rail system in Simcity 4. Why can't you just use a normal railway system? And highways are highly over-capacity for that actual use that you can get out of them. By the time you need the highway, your CBD which people are attempting to reach, you can't actually afford to demolish with highway systems.

Heh, what about all those unarmed combat power ups in Prototype, like the roundhouse kick and the aerial combo? Only useful against humans, who die in one punch anyway - just there to look cool, great when beating up civilians! But useless all the same...

My thoughts exactly on SC4.

Not to mention there is no auto save and the game has CTD's with no warning or error message (and did from release day it was never addressed).

Basically my goal in FPSs is to find the shittiest weapon and try to kill people with it. Very satisfying.

The knife you get from that crazy girl in Silent hill 2 (Cant remember her name) Perfect for cutting up anything, but James just srugs his sholders and says "Im not going to use this as a weapon"

Dumnass...
