Not really in a film but a TV series, a character called Dannielle in a show called Eastenders (she was the only reason I watched it). The way they killed her was just bull. Hitting her with a car 10 secinds after she was united with her mother which the storyline of her trying to tell her mum who she was had taken 6 months.

The mother of the dinosaur in "The land before time" I think that's the only time I have cried because of a movie...
Thanks for reminding me about this amazing movie, haven't seen it since I was a kid...

I don't think I've ever cried because of someone dying in a movie, hmm... but I did for other reasons..

OT:

Was quite sad to see:
Alan Tudyk a.k.a. Wash the pilot from Serenity/Firefly die. Felt it was totally unnecessary, also it means that if a miracle occurs and the show ever DOES come back, it won't be the same...
I completely agree with this. Also,
the Shepard, and the brothers, and Mr. Universe in the same movie. After seeing the show for so long, it really made me pause for a moment.

How about when Gandalf died in The Fellowship of the Ring. It made me so sad I never watched the other 2 movies.
You should've, because
he didn't die and simply returns in part 2.

Once again I've forgotten that it's hard for people to tell I'm being sarcastic when I type things.

I'm going to swallow my pride and say:

I was incredibly moved when Donnie dies at the end. It really hit me.

Without a doubt in Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai.

Easily Forest Whitakers best movie in my sincere opinion.

Bird is probably the nicest, most loving Hitman/Cold Blooded Killer evar!

In The Venture Bros. -

When Henchman 24 died. Actually, a lot of henchmen died in that episode (like that poor dude who's head was chopped off by the wings extending out on The Monarch's battle suit) - usually the worst that happens is they get beat up by Brock :p

any character in the movie anaconda 3 because the dialog was so poorly written and preformed i burst into tears laughing and seeing that there would be a decrease of stupid dialog upset me

Doc Holliday in Tombstone.

Yes I know it is semi-historically accurate, but damn it Val Kilmer made that character awesome.
