While the ire towards movie games in general is well deserved, now and then one comes out that's decent enough to actually be worth playing. This is a thread about those ganmes. Since Goldeneye is such an obvious answer, I'd prefer that you only name it if you can't think of anything else.

I don't know what the general consensus is (or indeed, if anyone else has even played it) but I really liked the Kong 2005 King Kong movie game. It was an interesting game, not really a survival horror but a survival shooter. They ways they worked around having a HUD were cool too, like having your character say how much ammo he had remaining.

wow, I guess you aren't really asking for much.

this wasn't really much of a film but more of a series (I think at least) but I like XIII

Way to end your own thread. I would also like to say the Peter Jackson's King Kong: The Official Game of the Movie is incredible! Just way too short.

X-men Origins Wolverine.

With that game you get the remarkably rare item where the movie game is actually better than the movie.

Alot of the Star Wars games.

And, of course, the ultimate movie game, ALIENS VS. PREDATOR 2.

I enjoyed the LoTR: Return of the king game (On my PS2). It wasn't great, but it wasn't bad either.

Toy Story 2 for the PS1/N64 was really good!

Bug's Life had some interesting gameplay too. It was fun but not as well made.

While they're not always based directly on the movies, there are some good Starwars games.

Yeah I agree and Return of the King had co-op which is worth a few bonus points.

I never saw the movie but whoa, yes. The game was awesome. It was the first time in a game where Wolverine's claws actually did what they were supposed to. And it was awesome.

Most anything associated with Peter Jackson tends to be good. Both games based off the last two Lord of the Rings movie's are pretty fun (Even if they are ridiculously hard at times) , and King Kong is probably one of the better movie games to ever grace a console. Spider-Man 2 is actually really good, and the other two Spidey-movie games are a cut above the rest. (Yes, even if you didn't care for the SM3 game, you still have to admit it's better then most other movie tie-ins.)

The handheld versions of Star Wars: Episode 3 are also pretty good for fans of retro beat-em-ups, but ONLY the handheld versions. Speaking of beat-em-ups, Batman Returns is pretty slick, and the upcoming Scott Pilgrim game looks AMAZING! Lessee here, what else is there...I hear Super Star Wars and the Indiana Jones Trilogy for SNES are good, but I've never really played them.

There are a few other movie games I could recommend to die-hard fans of the respective film, but nothing I could seriously classify as good. Oh, and as far as Star Wars goes I'm only covering games that are direct tie-ins to the movies, I can think of a ton of Star Wars spin-off games that are pure awesome on a stick. (Battlefront, KOTOR, Jedi Knight, Republic Commando, GOD I LOVE THESE GAMES)
