Shaun of the Dead
Hot Fuzz
Monty Python Holy Grail, Life of Brian and Meaning of Life
Four Lions
A bunch of pretty bad sex comedies
We have a few good a few not so good.
Well, Harry Potter obviously. (If you mean the actors and where it is filmed.)
I recommend The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassuss. Heath Ledger and a lot of other American actors are in it, but the director and setting was in Britain.
I quite like gritty movies like This Is England too, a much more accurate portrayal of how British people act.
Say the URL is this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xgp-eF-LvbA&feature=related
What you do is take all the stuff behind the first "=" in the URL, and copy and paste it into this formula: (youtube=that part of the URL) but use [ ] instead of ()
In the case of that URL, that would be (youtube=xgp-eF-LvbA&feature=related) but with [ ] instead.
when is something considered of a nationality? Does it have to be produced there or directed by someone of that nationality?
anyway on topic:
if you like WW2 movies you might want to check out the movie Black Book, its about the resistance in the Netherlands
We make a lot of children's movies too though
I'm Canadian and my absolute favourite Canadian film is Pontypool. This is the trailer:
It's technically a zombie movie, but it starts slow and builds the suspense in the creepiest ways (seriously, it takes a LOT to creep me out). It's based on a novel, and apparently there will be a trilogy of films (YAY, I can't wait til the next one!).
It takes a lot for me to get excited about Canadian films (some are just so stupid), but this is really deserving of all the praise it's received. Watch it, you won't be disappointed.

I'm norwegian, so the only movies i recommend are Max Manus which is based on a WW2 hero in Norway, Kill Buljo which is a parody of Kill Bill and Tomme Tønner, which is kindoff a gangster film. There are ofcourse the Fritt Vilt-film series, but I haven't seen it, and I hear the last film is shit
Last Night is pretty awesome, it has some random Canadian stars in it like Sandra Oh and the sexual fetish/gore master himself, the great David Cronenberg. A bunch of Cronenberg's films are really good too, like Crash (the 1996 one about people getting turned on by car accidents) and Videodrome. Vincenzo Natali's work is very twisted too, with stuff like Splice and Cube.
And then of course there's the hilarious Bon Cop Bad Cop, one of the first bilingual Canadian movies:
Germany
we have a couple. most of them are set in the magical time between 1933 and 1945 wen everyone was the good guys but(and Japan and Italy and Hungary and Austria and well you get the picture)
to name one : The downfall(also has on of scenes most cannibalized on youtube)
oh and we have Metropolis
I'm not sure what America you're talking about. All the Americans I know could actually stand to be a bit more prudish, what with all the constant drinking and sexually uninhibited parties I'm no longer allowed to attend by court order . What's "Turk's Fruit" about anyways? I'm always looking for a good movie to watch.
One half of my countries movies is Bollywood. My favorites are Toofan and Coolie.
The other half of my countries movies are from Puerto Rico. Since I don't want to list some of them I'll have the Wiki link. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cinema_of_Puerto_Rico
I'm from Belgium and we don't usually produce good movies in my opinion.
I did like "SM Rechter" though.
It's a movie that explores the boundaries between what is legal and what someone would allow you to do in a relationship.
