Eulogy, Yojimbo and Secretary (last one only if you are mature enough to look through premises).
Secretary is beyond brilliant, I have to agree.

OP:
Interesting question. I'll NEVER suggest that someone "has" to see Pulp Fiction, tho. I'll prolly be crucified for this but...Tarantino is immensely overrated.

That being said, I'd agree with Blade Runner, The Godfather and A Clockwork Orange-tho even that movie was okay (before you start, I'm actually a HUGE Cult Movie fan, so it's not like it's a title I just don't like).

I'd go with:
The Shawshank Redemption
The Outlaw Josey Wales (or Once Upon A Time in the West)
Breatkfast At Tiffany's (for a "chick flick")
The Iron Giant (the ONLY "good" Vin Diesel movie)
Vertigo
Seven Samurai
Ghostbusters

Hot Fuzz, Watchmen, and The Usual Suspects. Best ending in any movie of all time. Ever.
Oh, also Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. It's got English subtitles, but that doesn't take away from it's greatness. Some truly phenomenal swordplay and special effects in there.

Things made by this guy:

Seriously, I can't think of a better film maker than Quentin Tarantino.

Oh yeah, and also anything made by David Fincher tends to be pretty good. As well as the Boondock Saints movies.

Fight Club. To give you an idea of the kind of person I am, I've seen loads of movies. I LOVE movies, but very seldom will I watch a movie more than once, and if I do, it's because one of my friends wants to watch it or something. There is only one DVD that I own for a reason other than "it was in the bargain bin at blockbuster and it was cheaper to buy it than to rent it" and that movie is Fight Club. I've watched that movie so many times that I know it inside and out, and yet it still manages to be a little bit different every time I watch it.
