Beverly Hills Cop 1 through 3.

Whenever I mention it, either people have never heard of it, or hate it.

Hmmm, movies that everyone but me hates. Well I know quite a few people hate equilibrium, but I think that it would be quite a hit on these forums, just like how army of darkness is.

I honestly have no idea, at all. God damn it. Chances are I'll have loads once people start posting.

I kinda liked AVP2. Thought if you didn't take it seriously (which how could you, after the first AVP), then it was alright to kill a couple of hours.

The remake of Solaris with George Clooney is one of my favourite films, but I know of few people that like it.

I also really enjoyed The Spirit, I thought it had a good sense of humour about itself. I don't understand why there is such universal hate for that film.

They're not so much films that others hate, but there are a lot of films that I love that others can't understand. They just don't like them in the same way that I do - I haven't met many people who like the Fountain or A Clockwork Orange for example.

The Phantom Menace.

First film I saw at the cinema, and it's fucking good.

Jar Jar is just 'meh' and midichlorians are a tool to explain Anakin's potential and his role as the Chosen One, they AREN'T the force itself, nor are they there to explain it.

Now quit your whining.

I did not understand that film in the slightest. Fair enough if you want me to interpret something, but I can't interpret every single moment. Do they even say what Solaris is?

Maybe I just shut off when they were explaining stuff.

I liked 2012, yet most people apparently hated it.

I thought it was better than James Cameron's Avaturd

2012 is okay, but I honestly can't stand Avatar.
My girlfriend wanted to see it in 3D.
Longest nearly-three-hours of my life.

It's not really directly stated, but Solaris is the planet that you see throughout the film, the station that the film takes place on is in orbit around it, studying it.

Most people I know (note: not my friends but schoolmates, colleges etc) hate good movies; they all love "explosions3: explode harder" though.
I also like my pulpy movies (Fuck yeah Con Air!) but I also like movies like There will be Blood, Blade Runner, etc.

My mother only watches romantic movies with gearge clooney and the likes, Grease (fun flick dont get me wrong) sound of music etc; she also thinks movies are not to think about but to just watch.
The does like the Green Mile and shawshank redemption though, maybe im too rough on her.

I'll tell you another one - Speed Racer.
Everyone hated it, but when I finally got around to watching I thought it was great. I don't see the problem with it.

I got that, but I mean like, how does a planet or a gas cloud or a whatever-the-fuck-it-is create clones of dead people?

I have no problems seeing the layers in things, but that film is just SO ambiguous.
