One of my friends said that the definitive Canadian band is the Tragically Hip. This makes me want to kill myself, for I thought she had actual taste in music.

Hmm... I like 'The Hip,' but I've never gone so far as to say they're the definitive band... So I at least agree with you there. They mearly fill the role of our most popular folk-rock group. Which just means they sing about Canada, so it's obvious they're Canadian...

There's certainly a lot of other good Canadian music to pick through... Like the one's you mentioned.

On another note... Canada is sorry for Justin Beiber... we are so very very sorry...

Fact: Poland makes amazing metal music.

Well all I hear is "RAWWWWR!!" (x9001) and "BANG BANG BANG!" (*I* wouldn't class that as "music", but *technically* it still counts). However, that's just my opinion - it's not like I'm saying it's a "Fact:" or anything like that...
