Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Sex Pistols, Dire Straits (and if we are talking about the UK in general here) AC/DC (that's right, the majority of the band are from the UK)

Hey guys, I was wondering, if you could post some music from your country!

I'll start!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BJ3SftnfSzw

Now try to guess on what language the band is singing on.

NO CHEATING!
I'm guessing Icelandic because of the the word "Reykjavíkur", it looks like Reykjavik which is a city in Iceland.

Oh man there's such a diverse amount of amazing music from the Netherlands. We totally own most subgenres of electronic dance music worldwide, underground hip-hop is blossoming, metal's doing pretty well internationally, too. Just a small grip;

And just because it's horrible in an awesome way:

Guess I'll add something in swedish..

Translation: "Hello.. This is a bird. Come take a look. This is a bird.. bird, bird, bird ,bird, bird, bird, bird, bird.. Bird, you have a bird here, it's dangerous!"
Welcome to the Escapist!
OT:Hmmmm....
(ok weird video I know but the music is great)
That's who I listen to in those genres, or the best examples thereof.

Iron Maiden!

I don't think it's hard to guess which language they speak, but...

Oh, and also a load of other great bands, but it seems like other people have done them all (Rolling Stones, Queen, Pink Floyd...)

I'm in the UK so I guess my favourite metalcore band would count! :D
BFMV are classed as metalcore?! Hmm I guess their newer stuff has more of a hardcore edge to it but I wouldn't class them as metalcore personally. Ah well, whatever, not important really

OT: I'm from the UK as well and the best thing to come out of the UK, in my opinion, is The Clash

And here's my favourite British Metalcore band: Architects

I'm from Macedonia, and there are surprisingly lots of Punk bands here, so I'll post some of them.

Read the individual band members' pages. Angus and Malcolm were born in Scotland (as was Bon) Brian was born in England and so was Cliff. Origionally, all members apart from Angus and Malcolm were from Australia, but now, it has become a predominantly British band with only one member (Phil) that is Australian.

Just to counter all of the inevitable rock and metal (although I do really like this song, and I know it'll annoy plenty of you):

Fantastic song from a genre I'm not that too keen on.

A pop song which is really popular in my country and maybe others. I love it!

A calm and relaxing song I found out thanks to my parents.

Cookie for the person who knows which country I live in.

I don't like K-Pop that much but it's in my blood to at least enjoy some...
