Music Genres you hate.

I'm not a big fan of rap - though I don't listen to it much to begin with - or mainstream pop. I used to like country (I live in southern Texas, what do you expect), but now I'm just apathetic towards it.

It's weird, because I listen to almost everything else, from Aphex Twin to Moudly Peaches.

Country and rap are everyone's staple hatred style - and then they suddenly hate jazz when you play it to them.

I only find most styles that I don't like or hold as interesting to be the ones I haven't tried to get into yet.

OT: Can't really stand rap, though with one exception, that being Outsider.

Most of mainstream rap is pretty terrible to me, only rappers left to even bother checking out are Kid Cudi and Dr. Dre(Detox of course). Stuff like Atmosphere and Eyedea is pretty great though and always worth a listen. Other than rap, country is another that I can't stand.

Anyway, I didn't ask anyone to hate on something, just for them to express their dislike of something with a few intelligent words.

Rap - This one itself doesn't bug me, it's the way people think of it. IT'S NOT MUSIC. MUSIC HAS A MELODY. Rap is more like poetry, and I really think it needs to be treated as such.

Country - It's just a bunch of hicks whining about their truck, their girl, their guitar, their job, or some combination thereof. Fun fact: Studies have shown that you are statistically much more likely to commit suicide if you listen to country.

Modern Pop: You know, Jonas Brothers, Justin Beiber, Hanna Montana, ect. WHY THE HELL DO THESE PEOPLE EVEN HAVE AN AUDIENCE?!?

Its the only genre I can actually say I HATE.

I don't hate a specific kind of music, I listen to them all. Some more then others obviously but I don't hate genres just artists.
I guess the one I like the least is rap, but their are some good rap songs.
