If it's audible, then I hate it. Even the clack of my own keys.
Seriously, any spoken word genre is crap to me.

As much as I wanna be the noble guy and say that all music is music, even if it is shitty music, something that legitimately qualifies as "noise" for me would be anything from Ke$ha and that "Hair Back and Forth" song. Ke$ha's music is, in all honesty, worse than anything Justin Bieber, Hannah Montana, The Jonas Brothers, Nickleback, or Linkin Park has ever made combined. Even with those artists I feel some sort of artistic integrity, even if it is just a fraction of a fraction of a fraction of it.

Ke$ha's music literally just sounds like someone just stuck a microphone on her while she was having a casual day out and set her snooty slut dialogue to synth and electro noises.

As for the "Wave my Hair Back and Forth" song...don't get me fucking started...

I think you spelled her name wrong. Oh well.

OT: Most Screamo music. There's really no point to it. I'd rather hear some sick guitar playing than an angsty guy ruining his throat and/or voicebox by trying to scream over the already loud music.

Otherwise, not much. I wouldn't consider most pop music to be noise. It's just really bad musicians making horrible music. It's still music, though.

All sound is just sound, all noise is just noise, but humans can interpret it as music. Any sound is music as far as I'm concerned, because someone, somewhere, will find it musical in some way.

...except for this:
I don't understand, it's gotten to the point where it gets so fast that you might as well call those beats 8th or 16th notes, just like in other forms of music, because when you get a series of consecutive beats or sounds going really fast, there is a point where each individual beat stops feeling like the pulse, and instead every other beat, or every 4 beats, ect. feels like the tempo. There are million different ways you can count and feel the rhythm in music, to the point where a slow rock song could technically be at some ridiculously high beats per minute. But noooooo, it's fucking insane!!! The tempo is soooo high! I'm so hardcore, I listen to 1920 bpm! It almost sounds like one drawn out tone!! Woah!!!!

Isn't everything ever any where that can be heard noise>?

OT: A lot of scream and rap garbage, don't get me wrong some of Eminem's stuff is alright (emphasis on ALRIGHT) but that kind of rap were it is African Americans talking about "fucken up Jimmy cus he got ma drugs wifout pay'n, fo real broda" just makes me want to spew.

I respect peoples right to enjoy their music and I generally don't criticize any of it, but when it is people screaming barley audible lyrics about the devil, I say I'm done and I walk away.

is it bad that I kinda like that song? well I guess if I spoke the language I would hate it, but if I can't tell what their saying, it sounds unique and complex
No it's not bad, it's the ONLY screamo song I like (probably because only about half of it is actual screamo... and I took 3 years of Japanese so I understand it!)

EDIT: yes they actually are talking about Freiza; that's right, it's a Dragon Ball Z screamo song.

I'm tired of people calling Justin Beiber a girl, it's is an insult to women everywhere!

anyways, yeah I don't know where to stand... remember songs from the 40's/50's when people had talent?

sure it was more classic then fun (like rock and roll!) but it was really good

for anyone wondering what I'm talking about, play Fallout 3, NOW!

EDIT: I made this post to get others opinions because one of my friends was listening to people scream into a mic and call it music, then tell me my piano playing sucks and was noise.
All music is noise - literally.

All noise also has the potential to be perceived as music, regardless of content (or lack thereof - yes, even 4:33 counts).

The problem arises when people use the terms "music" and "noise", when what they really should be using are the terms "music I happen to like" and "music I don't happen to like". Saying "I don't like music type x because it is noise", or the subtle variant "I don't like music type x therefore it is noise", is a lazy cheap shot and a cop-out - it's really saying "I don't like this type of music, and I don't really have a good, solid, concrete reason why I don't like it on a musical level, and I'm too mentally lazy to really think of what the real reason might be, so I'm just going to label it as noise and hope you let me get away with it".

Not really anything comes to mind. It's music whatever shit it is, just yeah, it's SHITTY music, but music none the less. Of course, I subscribe to the actual definition of music in Webster...
