Far Cry 2:

Also, Splinter Cell: Conviction introduced me to DJ Shadow (if that counts) through an absolutely amazing scene.

Well I guess I can't exactly say that I was "ninja'd" (unless you are a VERY slow ninja) but I can say that picking the Miskovsky opus is an excellent choice.

I think what I love about this song is that it shows how much really went into Mirrors Edge which is a game that I think deserves far more credit than it recieved. I think it was misundertood, everyone expected it to be a first person [enter known genre supposition here] when really it was a new vision for the RACING genre.

The new Daft Punk TRON stuff is simply amazing, I also still listen to about 1/3 of the music from GNR, Street Fighter music and renditions therof, The theme from Phantasy Star Online (both of them), There's a very pretty balad that Leilianna sings to you from Dragon Age, I would love the Grandia 2 Soundtrack if I could find it again, the music from Dues EX invisible war, and the "ShopMeow" song from ATLUS's Super Robot OG saga whatever was freaking hillarious. I also love Still Alive. Mostly because it introduced me to Mendlebrot set, Code Monkey, IKEA, Mr. Fancy Pants and one of the most lovely and sincere ballads I've ever heard an artist intone: Baby Got Back. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ltjbnyvq_SI

Great Idea for a thread by the way!

Lets just say about half my Ipod is by stuf from OCremix (They have remixed thousands of songs, and have even completely remixed games such as FF7, Xenogear, and Doom, as well as dozens and dozens more. Check them out.) Other then that i regularly listen to many classic tunes from the NES and Genesis, as well as some modern soundtracks like Silent hill 2.

Time Only Knows from Sands of Time. Listening to this at the end of the game made me cry, and I'm a man.

Total Annihilation, Icewind Dale, (insert more Jeremy Soule scores here)...

All have places in my various playlists. Also, I downloaded the OCremix collection some time in 2008, and most of it is sorted and in playlists.
