Lately, the Alternative metal crowd like Three Days Grace and Seether.
Though I'm trying hard to find instrumental metal because most modern metal vocals are shit.

Well, after I started up Borderlands, I just had to go out and buy the Cage the Elephant album, which I am listening to as I type this now.
Same here, sadly though I really found the rest of the album to be just...Well, bad.
I loved Ain't No Rest For The Wicked, but the rest of it just annoyed me for some reason, that song really isn't indicative of the album as a whole.
Thats a shame, I actually like most of the album. "Lotus" is currently one of my favorite songs, also, "Back Against the Wall," and "In One Ear" are both pretty good too.

Your opinion though.

Right now I'm in Coheed and Cambria mode.
Same here. I've started listening to their first two albums again, and I forgot how awesome they are.

someone help. preferably METAL!
Give Between the Buried and Me a try.

Also, Renard. I got linked to one of his songs about a month ago, and now I'm considering getting PayPal just so I can buy his stuff. He's seriously making some of the most awesome techno today.

The second one of this collection:

Elegant, very balanced, enough complexity, not attitude above substance, hardly ever gets old.

I've been listening to some Edguy and more Megadeth then I usually do. For the most part I've been getting into a lot of European metal bands like Edguy, Sonata Arctica, and Rhapsody of Fire.

But I always leave room for my favorites like System of a Down, Dream Theater, Symphony X, and Disturbed.
I commend your taste! Have you checked out Avantasia? (it's a metal opera project by Edguy's lead singer) and Gamma ray are an awesome European Power Metal band too.

Recently I've really gotten into Sabaton:
Actually, I have heard Avantasia, their pretty awesome I just always forget to mention them. I'll be sure to check out Gamma Ray though.

Florence and the Machine is a great band. i love their music too.

Lately ive been addicted to Rap, and i used to be the biggest hater of the genra.

I'm loving a couple of Eminem songs, and i love ALL of Hilltop hoods songs, along with most of Buck 65's songs.

Well I've got so much music I never know what to listen to and get kind of bored of one band after I listen to them to death but right now I am on Led Zeppelin's discography AGAIN - Just put the whole thing on repeat and let the magic flow. I am also bumming Jeff Wayne's rendition of War of the Worlds (it is beyond awesome)

Fuck Dragonforce, this is true power metal right here.

That was awesome. Not too hot on the chorus but other than that it was bitchin'.

Myself, I'm rocking out to Corrosion of Conformity and Pantera at the moment. Bought a Trivium album recently cos I'd heard a lot about them being this great metal band and it turns out to just be a load of screamy 'core' stuff with no catchy riffs. Shame.

EDIT: Come to think of it could anyone reccommend me anything based on these choices? I'm not a big fan of growly vocals a la Trivium - Phil Anselmo is pretty much as abusive as I like it, but metal in general is good.

I find it a shame too, because I really loved that song and was hoping I'd love the rest of the album too, who knows, I'll try giving it another chance though, with any luck my opinion may change.

I'd suggest Kimya Dawson and the Mouldy Peaches, it is something different..the songs have meaning whilst being fun.
