ahhh, I love all the bawww CoD6 is making people give, the tears, I love them.

if you dont like it, dont buy it and get on with your life, its only a game.

if you dont like it, keep playing CoD4, you know, the game that you want CoD6 to be?

if you dont like it, make a better game yourself, since obviously I-Dub doesn't know how to and you do.

take your pick of which comment you want, Im just making it standardized from now on since all of them are interchangeable with the current level of bawwww that fanboys are causing.

Yes I am, pre-order is paid off, gonna get it in 5 days. Im a bit excited ^_^

I will be honest with anyone and eveyrone getting this game, I will hurt you if you spoil the story for me.
are you buying it for PC? are you even a PC gamer? if not, then your post is pointless.

p.s. this is a news post.
and from the reactions in this thread, it's pretty damn important to PC players.

So why dont you keep your condescending holier-than-thou attitude to yourself. if you don't like these posts than don't read them; at least people are discussing a game, you're just complaining about posters. what's more useless?

p.p.s. voicing dissatisfaction is also how you get heard. your attitude is analogous to bend over and take it; you can take it all you want, but just because youre apathetic doesn't mean every1 is.
for one:

now that I can give that "oh snap!" out of the way.

obviously you haven't seen the ammount of "OMG! bawww more MW2 stuff to anger PC Gamerz! BAWWW" threads the escapist has had. so really, you could of just placed your "news" post in one of them, that way the people who actually care would be able to see it without adding a "YAGDT".

my points still stand, no one is forcing you to buy it, and its not like CoD4 is closing its servers, so if you dont like the game, why are you complaining about it?
You still didn't answer my question. Are you buying it for PC? Are you a PC gamer? Do you even understand what the issues mean? How bad P2P would be for KBM? what hitboxes & netcode are or where lag occurs across WANs?

Yes CoD4 was for PC, what does that have to do w/ ANYTHING? CoD4 also had dedicated servers and 32 player matches. 0o

as for this thread, i did a search and it wasn't posted. So i made a thread for it. Where is it posted already huh?

Seriously, STOP TROLLING

Honestly if its going to as laggy as my Xbox live, I'm not buying it for now, but maybe later after price drops.

But honestly why aren't they doing dedicated servers? Lazy ass much?

Just a question for you good sir, what do you think a forum is for? It's for discussing, cheering, praising, complaining and whining, so...why is it a surprise?

I'm going to bet the first one's multiplayer will wind up being better, not that I've played either multiplayer or followed either, I simply stuck with the single player and had fun.

Just curious why can't you godly overlord PC gamers just mod this thing? Surely someone will have a crack out 3 days after release for dedicated servers. I also don't recall player limits being an issue if my 32 player matches of halo 2 on a chipped box meant anything.

I can not for the life of me understand the outrage at IW over things that make the game balanced (no party chat in some gametypes) or dedicated servers.

The console version looks like the best, but when I saw the mission in space I was saddened.

Seriously, Infinity Ward have been real dumb with this.

Apparently, its the MOST PREORDERED GAME IN GAMESTOPS HISTORY [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/95897-Modern-Warfare-2-Is-GameStops-Most-Preordered-Game-Ever].

Frankly, I'm saddened by Infinity Wards decisions to gimp the PC version because of "piracy" (i.e. we're not worth the money it'd take to make a good version to them).

I'll probably get the game, if only to play the single player campaign, but it'll be a second hand copy to I can stick up my metaphorical fingers to them and Activison.

Depends on the coding of it all. Remember, this stuff doesn't come with the source attaches, so someone would have to work out, using a disassembler, what code did what and then reverse engineer a patch to add in dedicated server support. The player limits thing is relatively trival to fix, but adding in DS support would be a major task, especially if the "connect to IWnet" is hardwired in.

I'm rather sad because of this. I've loved every part of the series so far (except CoD3 which only came out for the Xbox, Wii and PS2), but the recent events has changed my feelings towards this sequel from "WOO! Another CoD-game, it will be great!!" to "F*** you, why did you destroy the CoD I knew?". I bet they'll insert SecuROM-style DRM (just worse) to top the whole thing.

And people thought Treyarch made a bad game (a game which I mostly liked). -_-'

I wish this were the case, we've already been in large discussions over this over on the IW website, and it seems the case that even if it were cracked there's all sorts of other issues to be had, including legality of even USING the servers, not to mention the fact that getting some hosting site to hold an ILLEGAL copy of the game and the nightmares that would cause.

Yes, I am a PC user, yes I am one of the strong Mod community, and yes I am pissed as all hell. Kalezian I'm not exactly sure what you are trying to accomplish here, yeah, we've all seen the baww threads, but it's not about being a bloody fanboy of what CoD4 was/is, it's about what we as the PC community have had for a long time, and are not so willing to part with.

We don't want to deal with hosts lag switching (easier on PC than on console btw), or no modding, or them dropping lean because it's "Unfair", or charging us an extra $10 here in the States just for shits and giggles, or lack of Clan run servers, or lack of recording (no competitive), or... they are screwing the multiplayer over, so yeah, a lot of the community will be pissed.

I've got a better idea than stopping the baww threads... if you don't like them, it's your choice to read them as much as it's our choice to write in them, I would suggest using your own Cuthulu given right of free will, and leave this posting area if it offends you so, or you are a troll, and will be dealt with appropriately I'm sure, I know the mods here are very good at that.

EDIT:

Great, now we have to listen to more Pc owners ***** on the forums!
Seriously though, you are getting the same treatment as everyone else. DEAL WITH IT.
No we aren't, we're getting treated much WORSE than we have, if we were used to this kind of shit we'd just take it, but we aren't so we are upset.

That's cool.. I guess..

You know, not like myself and 90% of the people I know play across god-awful school networks or anything. Wait, I am.

BUT - Sudden revelation - did anyone confirm that what that means is that PC gamers and server companies can't create dedicated servers or that IW/whatever won't be providing dedicated servers? Everyone knows a third party server company is just a really strong P2P host right?

And well, Ive always had the best competitive experience with 6v6, so whatever there - However I am completely pissed at their close minded "Play the game the way WE want you to" mentality. Hello? Just do what everyone else is doing and follow in Half-Life's footsteps - IT WORKs.

Is there now any incentive for people to buy the PC version? I don't see any, they're pretty much trying to make it equal to the console version, a move I simply cannot understand. Everyone knows both platforms have their own qualities, now they're just ignoring the PC one's. I think it costs more money and energy to actually try to make the game equal for all platforms than to just stick to the the regular PC advantages. I'm glad I'm getting the PS3 version.

Single player, I know you saw that kick-ass launch trailer, and SpecOps for me. My brother, who lives a few thousand miles away from me, and I are going to own face in those missions.

Again, the consoles are getting treated the way that they are for a reason, they didn't stand up when the first person said "Ooo... I'd pay an extra x amount of dollars for said content that the PC users CREATED." We make your mods, we set the standard, good luck getting the game to evolve at all without us.

MW2 is already proving stagnation before it is even released. Good luck getting any advancement in the gaming community without us. Consoles can't do shit except accept what they are given, PC evolves the community, good luck without us.

Hehe. If only. Modern Warfare has become something like a fucking cult. Seriously, the amount of shit I'm going to get for getting L4D2 over it. Although I am reconsidering. But then am I just being a sheep? Damn you, IW.

If by "the same" you mean "drastically different." If you haven't grown up playing FPS games on the PC you honestly have no idea what you're talking about here. It'd be a little like if they decided for CoD6 on consoles they'd only let you use one analog stick. It doesn't kill the game but it cripples a large portion of it. Removal of dedicated servers largely cripples the MP experience on a PC. The 9v9 is also a bit of a bummer, but the 16v16 matches for CoD4 weren't as fun for me as the servers with ~24 people on them. As for no leaning, that's pretty hilarious.

If you think it's fair that people who are still (stupidly) going to purchase this game for the PC now must pay an extra 10 dollars, it's really not. I've heard that Sony and Microsoft charge to release games on their console. It would be stupid (and maybe illegal) for them to do that for Windows. So why should PC gamers pay the same price for a game that doesn't cost Activision the same amount to release on the platform? It'd be like if a SNES game came out tomorrow that was 60 dollars and the console gamers of the world told the SNES crowd to accept it because it's 60 on the Xbox 360.

So basically you PC guys should buy it for the 360.

No seriously, I'd love to own you while you struggle to aim with dual analog. =)

Right. If I may...

<color=black>Fuck Infinity Ward.

They've sealed their casket for the PC crowd. I'm not paying them another penny.
